The size is perfect for her room, but more importantly, the picture and clarity are good for her to see from her bed. The usb port was perfect to put in a flash drive with old home movies.

I was adamantly against smart TVs because I didn't have a use for all of the features they provide but when I started using my Samsung TV, I realized that it was the clearest picture, best gameplay experience and sound quality. Features such as brightness, contrast , and responsiveness are just fine. My only complaint is the volume on the Samsung remote. If it wasn't for my son, I would not have been able to figure out that you need to push up the volume button as opposed to pressing down on the volume button. Also as grandmother , I needed help to program the other remote for the cable carrier.

The best thing about this unit is it is much lighter than my prior unit, which really stressed my articulating wall mount. The picture quality is good. I can't really fault it. The worst thing is the remote. It has a maddening delayed response. No idea why. Overall I do recommend this TV.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good value for the money. The USB slideshow functionality is useful, but the slideshow interface needs an upgrade. I have never seen a Samsung remote control that I liked. Areas for Improvement: 1) A unified menu for slide (Data-USB) viewing. 2) Increase Transition speed between slides (it is jumpy and it seems the processor is not strong enough to handle the transition, even on a new TV!) 3) Additional slideshow features (display speed control, and extra display options) 4) The Remote. Just copy Apple.

However Users Manual is not much use to someone tha just wants to install the DirecTV App and watch my choice of TV programs. Unfortunately the Users Manual focus on all the "Smart Features" at the expense of a clear explanation of how to just watch TV Programs. Fortunately the Users Manual is available for download because the printed copy text is so small that a magnifine glass is necessary to read it. Then there is the "Remote" that has no intutive functions. I own three older Samsung TVs on Smart and one which I use a Firestick to make it smart ; also have Samsung cell phone. My positive experience with their performance caused me to purchase this TV. I will not make that mistake again!

I wish you could set it so it opened to live tv or option to open to certain station . I'd like to not have to be prompted to Samsung tv always first because we rarely view it and it is an annoyance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What in the world were you thinking when you eliminated the optical and RCA audio outputs on the Samsung 70" class U8000H UHD Crystal Series - 4K Smart TV Model UN70U8000HDXZA. I tried to use a HDMI arc audio extractor hooked to the HDMI arc output but found that the volume couldn't be controlled by my preferred remote supplied by Spectrum my provider. The so called smart remote supplied by Samsung is totally useless beyond turning TV on and off. I can't even figure out how to control the volume or change channels, other than that the picture is great the sound from the rear facing speakers is fair. My biggest problem is that the device that transmits audio to my hearing aids requires an optical or RCA input which you eliminated so I have to get sound from the optical out on my cable box which means I can't get hearing aid sound when using streaming apps which is why I bought this TV in the 1st place as my old TV couldn't support the streaming apps included in my Spectrum package. I thought Samsung made quality products and had I known of these shortcomings I would never have purchased this TV. Bring back the audio outputs most people use and supply a usable dumb remote I'm extremely disappointed in this product
