[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this item a month ago and was not too impressed. The lozenge has a very mild numbing effect which doesn't really help (in my opinion) with sore throats. In the past, I've used cepacol, which really numbs up the mouth and works great. I was expecting the same effect from this but its extremely weak and does not really do much for me. The taste isn't too great so it pretty much just feels like you're sucking on a bad tasting candy.

The package is resealable and contains forty medicated drops individually packed with a soothing effect for my throat. I absolutely like Mucinex quality and flavor.

It really helps helps sooth a sore throat. The flavor is very balanced and not overpowering like others. It's a great tasting and reliable cough drop for those in need when they are sick. Worked great for myself and my husband.

I really wanted this product to work on my sore, burning throat. I tried the recommended dose twice, but with no discernible lessening of the sore throat pain. I have always found Mucinex products to be helpful with colds and coughs previously. I will look for another product to help with sore throat pain. Thank you.

The overwhelming flavor and numbing sensation were quite unexpected at first, but I have never taken a cough drop as powerful as these either. I like that each cough drop is individually wrapped to maintain freshness and can easily be thrown into my purse.

I was so over taking medicine and powders mixed with water, but still had a painfully sore throat. I am so grateful for these Mucinex InstaSoothe Sore Throat + Pain Relief cough drops. The taste is very good without being medicine like or overpowering like some cough drop. I hate having “the cough drop” aftertaste in my mouth long after I've finished one. My throat is comforted quickly and the pain is gone. These are now a staple in my medicine cabinet!

There was a kind of novocaine effect, a little like cepacol, but a bit stronger. The flavor was nice. I would recommend.
