Customer reviews for SAMSUNG 40” Class F6000F Series LED FHD Smart Tizen TV forSoftware needs help!
I have always purchased Samsung TV's. They have been dependable, reliable, and have great picture quality. When I needed a new TV for my bedroom, I didn't look any further than Samsung and purchased a 32” F6000F series. The setup was easy, it has an excellent picture, and the size is perfect for my bedroom. However, there is a very disappointing issue with the software. It is extremely sluggish and at times can become completely unresponsive causing the TV to freeze up. The apps load painfully slow, and the tv responds to the remote control very slowly. In an effort to fix the problem, I have performed both soft and hard resets on the set, I have ran the Device Care routine, cleared the cache and cleared data, deleted unused apps, and updated the software to make sure that the latest firmware is installed. These steps help to minor degree (it is still sluggish), but as I continue to use the set, it gradually becomes more and more unresponsive. A soft reset with an occasional hard reset is the quick “fix,” but it is a temporary fix. I really hope that Samsung will release a software update to resolve this issue. It is so frustrating to perform the simplest of functions, even like changing the volume, and have to deal with the wait time before the set will respond.
Hi Jrome, Thank you for your detailed feedback. Please ensure your TV is running the latest Firmware, version 1395.9. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. If this firmware version is not yet available on your TV, you can download the update on a USB drive and manually update your TV: 1. On Samsung's website (upper right corner), go to: Support > Manual & Software > Find your TV model, and click on the Firmware – Upgrade File. 2. When the file has finished downloading, locate it and then unzip it. There is normally one folder inside but there may be multiple files. 3. Copy or move all of the files that were included in the zip file to a USB flash drive, but do not place them inside any other folders. If you place the software folders inside a folder on the USB flash drive, the TV or monitor will not find them. 4. Connect the USB drive containing the software upgrade into a USB port on your device. 5. Using your device's remote, navigate to and select Settings, then select All Settings, and then select Support. Select Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes if prompted. Your device will search the USB drive for update files. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, it will restart automatically. Bad control / input lag and sometimes unresponsive
This TV has excellent sound and great picture quality. However the control response time is poor and it is sometimes just unresponsive. The TV takes too long to respond to commands from the remote, even when controlling the volume. It is very frustrating when someone else has watched the TV and left the volume blaring and then I use the remote to adjust the volume and the TV does not respond.
Hi Tony95868, We appreciate your feedback regarding response time. For optimal performance, please ensure your F6000F TV is running the latest firmware. You can check this by going to: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update To further optimize performance, try running Device Care, which checks memory, clears unused cached data, and closes background apps: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care If issues continue, please reach Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, available 8AM – 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Lack of attention to detail
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are several features that show a lack of attention to detail on the part of the designers. When selecting "Source," the little icons for TV, HDMI, etc. are very small and they do not change much when selected. That makes it harder than it should be to see which icon is active. No need for that! Other TVs have larger, clearer ways to tell which source is active or about to be selected. It is too cumbersome to switch the Closed Caption option. Viewer loses access to the screen while navigating to CC. It was not this way on previous Samsung and is not that way on other current Samsung or other brands. Also, there is no built-in control to turn the TV on using a timer. That was there on previous model. Now, one must use a phone app to do what used to be a simple procedure! Ridiculous.
Hi DisappointedSamsungViewer, We appreciate your feedback and have a few suggestions that may improve your experience. First, to enlarge the menu on your screen, go to Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Accessibility> Enlarge. Here in the Accessibility Menu, you can also adjust the Closed Captioning. Please note that, depending on the content you are watching (for example, inside the Netflix app), you will find the CC menu on the Play bar while watching a Show or Movie. Finally, to set a Sleep Timer, go to Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Sleep Timer. As you mentioned, you do have more options inside the SmartThings app, such as setting a routine to turn off/turn on your TV at specific times every day. I hope these tips help. If you need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, available from 8AM - 12AM EST, seven days a week. Great TVs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This my third Samsung TV. All of the controls are great. Once you figure out the menus it's easy to adjust any or all Brightness Contrast interface and sound. The remote is straight forward and simple to us. The only thing I would recommend is a QWERTY key board for searches and internet connection. I can't comment on security. I don't know enough about it.
Explain the good features of this type of TV.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll tell you what the brightness contrast and interface security and sound is the most certainly best out of it all the audio is what really is the big kicker it is loud it has enough base to make your day the interface is easy to use you all the apps and things that you need is right there such as YouTube to whatever super bright so have contrast which is the best part you are able to change the contrast compared to Vizio TCL and Google smart TVs that just puts them all to shame the security is where the best part is yeah your Samsung account is synchronized with the TV or any other product of Samsung ive neverhacked yet off the TV so I guess it's a good thing mainly the screen is what puts every single other TV company to shame
Sharp picture quality and good sound.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disappointed! After turning off TV It goes back on a number of times. I have to stay in the room until it finally stays off. This is very bad because if you leave the room to soon the TV could come back on until you enter the room again which happened to me. Good I didn't go on a vacation! Also, sometimes It has to be turned on twice before the channel becomes full screen. Giving it a 2 star rating only because it could cause a big problem if it turned back on if no one was home.
Hi BobC, Thanks for sharing your experience. If your TV is powering on by itself, there are a few settings and external triggers to review: 1. Power On with Mobile – Your TV may be connected to the SmartThings app or other networked devices. To stop wake signals, turn this feature off: Settings > All Settings > Connection > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile = Off 2. Check for Active Timers – Go to Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > System Manager > Time > Timer Settings, then disable any On Timers or Sleep Timers 3. Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) – If your TV is connected to external HDMI devices, one of them may be triggering power-on behavior. To disable this feature: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) = Off 4. Software Update – Make sure your TV is up to date: Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now If you’ve ruled out all the above and your TV still powers on unexpectedly, try unplugging it for 30 seconds. Should the issue continue, please call Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM – 12AM EST, 7 days a week. 32" Class FHD Smart TV F6000F (2025)
I recently purchased this Samsung 32-inch TV, and I couldn't be more pleased with its performance. This model features Smart View, allowing seamless connectivity and easy access to my favorite streaming services. According to the specs, it also supports Apple AirPlay, which enhances its versatility for all my devices. I love that it delivers Full HD quality. The lifelike colors make every viewing experience truly immersive, while the 3 Bezel-less design adds a modern touch to my entertainment setup. I also appreciate that it has a detachable power cord, making setup and cable management more convenient. One suggestion for improvement would be to incorporate a plug-in leg design, where the legs can be attached without screws for easier assembly and a cleaner look. Overall, this TV is a fantastic addition to my home!
