Best Picture!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great brightness and contrast during the day which makes the picture that much better at night. Sharpness is great without there being too much grian/noise in the picture and the speakers are decent too.

worked great at the beginning, really nice picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so pleased with this tv at the beginning. It's a snap to set up and the picture is really nice. After having for a few months, however, I'm starting to experience some rather upsetting issues. It turns on quickly but also quite quickly, the screen goes black and I have to wait a bit for the picture to come back on. My other issue is that I cannot consistently set a sleep timer. When I go into the settings, it often shows a sleep timer of 59 min and cannot be changed or it cannot be set at all. I think I've found a workaround by having the tv shut off at a particular time every night. Not ideal, but has been working for the past few nights. I originally gave this a 5 star review but will no longer recommend even at this very low price.

Hi LoR497, We appreciate your feedback on the F6000F TV. First, to ensure your TV's performance is fully optimized, please first check to see if there's a software update available. Go to Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update. If you're not using any external devices and the TV randomly cuts to black, it’s usually related to settings, signal, or internal software. Here are a few steps to help narrow it down and get things stable again. 1. Start with Power & Source Checks • Confirm the source: Even without external devices, it's worth confirming the TV is on the correct internal source (like TV/Live TV or a streaming app). Go to: Home > Left directional key > Connected Devices > Sources • Power cycle the TV: Unplug the TV from the power outlet for at least 60 seconds, then plug it back in. This can help reset any temporary glitches. • Check the power outlet: If you're using a power strip or surge protector, try plugging the TV directly into the wall to rule out inconsistent power delivery. 2. Run Built-In Diagnostics • Perform a Picture Test: Home > Left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test. This helps determine if the issue is hardware- or software-related. • Run the HDMI Test (optional): Even without HDMI devices connected, this can help verify that internal ports are functioning properly: Home > Left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > HDMI Test 3. Review Energy & Picture Settings • Turn off Power Saving Mode or Eco Solution settings—they can dim or turn off the screen during periods of inactivity: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power & Energy Saving • Turn off Auto Power Off (if enabled): Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > System Manager > Auto Power Off • Adjust Picture Mode settings: If the current mode is overly dynamic (like “Dynamic” or “Vivid”), try switching to “Standard” or “Movie” and observe if the screen behavior changes. 4. Factory Reset (if needed): If the problem persists after all checks, consider resetting the TV to default settings. (Heads-up: this will erase your installed apps and personal settings.) If none of these steps resolve the intermittent blackout, please reach out to Samsung Support for further troubleshooting or possible service options at 1-800-SAMSUNG, available daily from 8AM - 12AM EST. Lack of attention to detail

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are several features that show a lack of attention to detail on the part of the designers. When selecting "Source," the little icons for TV, HDMI, etc. are very small and they do not change much when selected. That makes it harder than it should be to see which icon is active. No need for that! Other TVs have larger, clearer ways to tell which source is active or about to be selected. It is too cumbersome to switch the Closed Caption option. Viewer loses access to the screen while navigating to CC. It was not this way on previous Samsung and is not that way on other current Samsung or other brands. Also, there is no built-in control to turn the TV on using a timer. That was there on previous model. Now, one must use a phone app to do what used to be a simple procedure! Ridiculous.

Hi DisappointedSamsungViewer, We appreciate your feedback and have a few suggestions that may improve your experience. First, to enlarge the menu on your screen, go to Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Accessibility> Enlarge. Here in the Accessibility Menu, you can also adjust the Closed Captioning. Please note that, depending on the content you are watching (for example, inside the Netflix app), you will find the CC menu on the Play bar while watching a Show or Movie. Finally, to set a Sleep Timer, go to Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > Sleep Timer. As you mentioned, you do have more options inside the SmartThings app, such as setting a routine to turn off/turn on your TV at specific times every day. I hope these tips help. If you need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, available from 8AM - 12AM EST, seven days a week. Remote is useless for over-the-air channels

Generally, this TV is decent enough. As others have stated, it is very slow to respond to commands from the remote control. And its connectivity options are extremely limited. However, the big problem is that the particular remote control included with this TV does not have a "-" (dash) button, which is necessary to directly tune over-the-air channels if you are using an antenna. Over-the-air channels have a format of a number followed by a dash followed by another number. Without the dash button, you cannot key in a specific over-the-air channel number. Instead of having a dash button where every other Samsung remote control has one, which is to the left of the zero on the numeric keypad, it has a strange button labeled "TTX/MIX," which (whatever that is) is a feature that this TV does not even have. I called Samsung support to try to get them to send me a remote which would actually work, but they would not do so. So, if you plan on viewing over-the-air broadcast channels, either do not buy this TV or plan on spending more money to buy a different remote control that will actually work with your antenna.

Hi Jim W, Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand how important it is to have intuitive tools for accessing over-the-air channels, and we’ve shared your comments about the remote and OTA tuning with our internal teams. We're continuously listening to our customers and exploring ways to improve the overall experience wherever possible. While we understand this may not be ideal, you can still browse and select all available channels using the Guide button (located below Mute). If direct channel entry with a dash is essential, you may want to consider this compatible remote option available at Samsung Parts: https://samsungpartsusa.com/products/vg-tm1240an-za ~Samsung Advisor

Very poor connectivity all around

Just purchased and seriously hit by buyers remorse. 1- The unit has delays from the remote itself, it literally takes a couple of seconds for TV to respond to any command. 2- I have a the Samsung HW-B400F and it suffers delays in voicing as well. 3- WiFi connection is horrible, router is practically next to it and consistently keeps loading (all devices connected were shut off and no change). My LG is downstairs and never has this issue, while 9 different devices are connected. This Unit is horrible!!!

Samsung is worth the money!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm Samsung all the way. Great TV with excellent online services & Apps. Love the connectivity with other Samsung devices. Make's life so much easier to have that connectivity. Picture quality is always outstanding. There's a reason why Samsung always costs more than other products. Samsung has great quality & great durability. A great looking TV is worth nothing if it breaks easily. Samsung is top of the line.
