This is the first time I've tried this type of food; I wasn't familiar with the brand. It's a good idea that can help you out when you don't have time to cook. I found it easy to prepare, and the instructions are clear. When preparing it, the smell is a bit strong but pleasant. The smell intensifies when it's heated so much that it invaded my entire house, which I didn't like anymore. As for the flavor, it really had almost no flavor and didn't taste like rice either. So I have to say I didn't like it. It has a long list of ingredients and colorings, which I don't like because it makes it even more artificial.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from a rice lover I enjoyed this rice bowl, it was so easy to make. The instructions are right on the side. You add water and cook for about 3 1/2 minutes. You can taste the roasted chicken flavor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bens rice roasted chicken rice cup is so good! It isn't too salty, it super easy to cook up and has a nice roasted flavor to it. I was able to pop it in my work bag for a quick hot lunch. I usually buy the rice a roni cups but prefer this over them and will be buying Ben's from now on!

The package is what you use to cook it in and the rice is perfectly cooked after. I am definitely buying these for school lunches.
