This is different and more convenient because it comes in the microwaveable bowl eliminating the need for a plate. An immediate use that comes to mind is packing this for part of a work lunch or snack. The taste is good, but what would have made it better would be a bit more juice/moisture. There was a bit more juice or flavor on the bottom. If I purchase, I may play with adding more water and/or stirring it a bit better at the end.

This is the first time I've tried this type of food; I wasn't familiar with the brand. It's a good idea that can help you out when you don't have time to cook. I found it easy to prepare, and the instructions are clear. When preparing it, the smell is a bit strong but pleasant. The smell intensifies when it's heated so much that it invaded my entire house, which I didn't like anymore. As for the flavor, it really had almost no flavor and didn't taste like rice either. So I have to say I didn't like it. It has a long list of ingredients and colorings, which I don't like because it makes it even more artificial.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a interesting product by Ben's. I did not expect a rice dish in a small bowl. This is new. There is only little water needed, because there is already a lot of rice & spices in the bowl. It is a little hard to mix it together but it does smell very good and appetizing. Then the dish has to be microwaved for 3.5 minutes on high. Has a lot of similarities with a noodle dish that everyone loves. After microwaving it is said to wait for 2 minutes, the dish is very hot and also I guess the rice is still “cooking” while waiting. The rice can be eaten in the plastic bowl it came with but I like to put my food in some type of bowl and not eat it straight out the package. It has a very mild chicken flavor. I would definitely eat it when in a rush and I need something fast.,but it can also be added as a dish with chicken in it and a sauce for the chicken. Definitely something I would be looking for to buy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rice was seriously soooo good. I paired it with Brussel sprouts and chicken sausage and it had such a perfect flavor. I loved it so much I would eat it alone! It's so easy to make and the packaging makes it easy to grab and go for work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed this rice from uncle Ben's. For being prepackaged rice, it had really good flavor and texture and it makes for a quick meal in a pinch. Eat it as is or serve it with vegetables and or your protein of choice for a more elaborate but equally as convenient option. I would recommend these for lazy days.

The flavor and texture was really flavorful and wasn't soggy feeling since it was microwaved. Plus, it only took a few minuets from start to complete. I'll be purchasing more of these in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rice in cup recipe is not as good as the Ben's Original rice in a bag. I needed to use more water than recommended because the rice came out dry and hard. I also added my own spices because there was almost no flavor. Their rice in a bag recipe does not have these issues.
