Poor temperature control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a gift last Christmas and every time I used it, it seemed that the temperature was not doing what the temperature should be doing for example, if it was on keep warm, it was still burning the food. So although it's basically a year old, I am asking if there's any way to solve this.

Love this crock pot!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this crock pot! First, I like the cream color and the digital settings. My last crock pot did not have that. I love how sturdy it is and how well it cooks the food. It's very easy to clean and performs excellently! Thank you for this great addition to my new house. I will use my crock pot often!

Too hot!

Bought this a few months ago and have tried it several times. It always cook way too hot and overcooks or burns things. Even just on the warm setting. I had a very old crock pot and wanted a digital one to program cook time, I'm glad I kept the old one. I put something on low for 6 hours, it's done by hour 3 and well overcooked by hour 6. Last time I used it I accidentally touched the edge of the warming unit and my finger immediately blistered. I have never had these issues with the old one. I wanted to love this one so much and was so disappointed.

Ideal for traveling and transporting home meals!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Crock-Pot Countdown Cook & Carry Slow Cooker for a couple of weeks now and am very pleased with it's performance and everything that it is capable of. This newer model replaced an older Crock-Pot that has been with our family for almost a decade and I can see this newer model lasting just as long, if not more. 7 quarts is the perfect family size, with more than enough food for everybody in the family plus some leftovers for the next day. In the past, I used to transport the slow cooker to family gatherings inside of a plastic bag, being very careful not to spill it. Those days are now over with the new Cook & Carry Crock-Pot. With double clamps locking down the lid and creating an airtight seal, this Crock-Pot can now be taken wherever the party is at. Whether it's a family picnic at the park or another potluck at work, this Crock-Pot is ideal for traveling and transporting home cooked meals. Also, it is very ideal for easy dinners when time is limited. I just toss in the ingredients before work, set the digital timer and it does all the cooking for me. When I get home, dinner is warm and ready to be served!

Not buying again.

I bought this approx. 6 months ago. The first few times I used it, worked fine. Then today: The glass lid burst while slow cooking chili. The Crockpot was on low for 45 minutes before bursting. Never happened before! Ruined what could have been an excellent pot of chili and a lot of food!

Heating element is way off

Like the concept if it actually worked. Even the keep warm is way too hot. It cooks things entirely too fast or burns everything. The heating element is way off. I'm sad I got rid of my 1970s crock pot for this.

Great for lazy meals

I love my crock pot especially if I want to cook something lazy. You can slow cook all day or speed it up by putting it to high. Just put the food to cook and do worry about it until it's done!
