It’s big enough for a family of 8, it can hold anything from a large roast to 4 large packs of Little Smokies. I use this crockpot several times a month. It’s super easy to use, has 3 settings , low, high, and keep warm. Let me tell you it works well! It’s lightweight, has a locking lid and also came with a traveling bag.

The crock pot itself is great but if you are buying this because it has the insulated carrier don't bother, the carrier is not big enough and it is a struggle to get it in the bag. The handles on the pot barely fit into the holes for them making it extremely difficult to get in or out of it.

I have had this for about a year. It is very cheaply made. The gray outside cover moves around and comes out if you touch it. I noticed several months ago that the ceramic insert looks like it started getting some hairline cracks but hey looked superficial. When I would use it, I always noticed there was a brown liquid on the outside òf the ceramic insert. After I cooked with it yesterday, I have noticed that it now is probably unusable. The ceramic insert has so many cracks that I'm afraid it will explode or burst if I use it again.

Like others, I should have read the reviews before I bought this Crockpot. I have had several Crockpots and they all worked well, but we needed a bigger one, so we bought this unit. No matter what setting I set, it gets too hot, especially in one corner, and then it boils the stew or burns whatever I am trying to cook. It does this even on the "Keep Warm" setting. I measured the temperature of the stew in the corner that is boiling the most and it is 190 F when on "Keep Warm"

I bought 2 of these to use at our church. The exterior is a lightweight thin metal. Within 2-3 minutes of starting the unit, the exterior was so hot that I couldn't touch it with my bare hands. I will be returning both units. There's too much risk of someone getting burned if they touch the exterior of the unit.

I would not recommend the Crock-Pot Design Series 7-Quart Cook %26 Carry Slow Cooker. I've only had this product for three months, and the lid unexpectedly exploded, ruining a $16 chuck roast and creating a huge mess in my kitchen. I contacted Crock-Pot customer service, and they did offer to replace or refund the unit, which I appreciate. However, that doesn't change the fact that dinner was ruined and the situation could have been dangerous. I'm also not impressed with the overall quality compared to my previous Crock-Pot. Despite the higher price, this model feels much cheaper, and unfortunately today's incident really confirmed that for me. For the cost and the safety risk, I expected much better.
