I have ankylosing spondylitis and also don’t weigh much, meaning most beds, even “plush”, are too firm for me. This is just right. And the support strap in the middle helps more than you realize. I went back to the store several times to lay on it before buying. The 3rd time I almost fell asleep.

I wanted to be IN the bed, not ON the bed, and this mattress feels like a dream! The pillowtop holds me like a baby. Somehow this mattress is soft and supportive at the same time. It pulls you in and holds you just right. Worth every penny. I also got an adjustable base with massage & zero gravity position and I’m absolutely in love! Laying in bed too long doesn’t hurt anymore!

The first night my hips hurt (I’m a side sleeper). After a few more nights it became more and more comfortable. We bought a box spring to set the mattress on. The result was a bed so high I need a step to climb onto the bed. We will take the box spring off; after my husband’s back recovers from putting the mattress on the bed. I think the mattress must weigh at least 400lbs! Next time we will pay the extra money and let some young healthy men do the heavy lifting.

After trying 3 beds from my local mattress store I finally gave up and went to Macys’s where I found this luxury Beauty Rest firm mattress. I have spinal fusions and chronic back pain and have had this bed 5 days and in absolute sleep heaven. I wake up with no back pain and can sleep comfortably on my back or side. This mattress is worth every penny if you want support and comfort.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Beautyrest Black is overall a great mattress. It looks incredibly glamorous! It’s very well made and provides great support despite only being of medium firmness. Neither of us has had a sweaty night since we got it despite the 100• temperatures we’re having right now. The one complaint is the way the pillow top is designed. Instead of being the same thickness to the edge of the mattress, it gently slopes down to mattress height. Both my partner and I have felt like we were falling off the bed because of this. Overall, the mattress is great but I wouldn’t buy one simply because of the way it feels like you’re falling off the mattress when you get onto the outer six inches of the mattress.

It's so ridiculously comfortable I'm having a hard time waking up for my alarms. I'm also having a problem with my family stealing my bed and not wanting to get up. Honestly though, this is amazingly comfortable, extremely supportive for a plush pillow top, regulates temperature shockingly well and is of the utmost quality. I have been waking up every morning feeling completely refreshed and have had no issues waking during the night like I used to all the time. Aside from these attributes, it's also beautiful. My husband would happily sleep on a piece of plywood for the support and I prefer something softer since I am a side sleeper. This mattress somehow has won us both over, it is soft enough to be comfortable to me and also has great support that makes my husband happy. I absolutely recommend. The only thing to be mindful of is that this is a thicker mattress so standard sheets will fit, but just barely, so the fitted sheet does come off at the corner every so often for us. Still totally worth it and I will be getting new sheets to fit it better.

Very comfortable and best sleep I have had in along time, we have had it 9 days and it feels like it is dipping into the middle now even when lying near the edge of the mattress it tends to roll you inwards. Hopefully we don’t have to take advantage of the 120 sleep trial because I really like the mattress but will not be able to handle rolling into the middle every night

This bed is called the Plush Pillow Top and for a good reason. The first night I slept in this bed, I called my best friend to tell her I was sleeping on a cloud. Absolutely the most comfortable mattress I have ever owned. My old mattress used to slide all over the place and I was constantly shoving it back into place. This mattress is heavy and doesn't budge! I can't even begin to express how lucky I am for being gifted this mattress. Do I recommend it? A million times YES!!!!

From a functionality perspective, it is very comfortable as a pillow top medium. I don't feel like I'm sinking but it doesn't feel stiff either. My back feels great after a full night's sleep! I also don't feel as hot as I did with my old mattress. The material feels high quality.
