I bought this model the iGen2550DFc because it will run on propane. I didn't want to transport a gasoline generator in my tow vehicle (SUV) or in the trailer. I like that it will run on gasoline as well, but I likely will not be using gasoline often. I like that it is easy to start. Once I figured how to connect the propane it started on the third pull. It is not as quiet as I hoped, but it is not bad.

This Westinghouse generator provides everything I need. I thought I needed a permanent full house generator, but after researching this product, I'm comfortable knowing I can set this one up and have everything I need available, should an outage occur.

After the last hurricane season and many days without power, in FL we decided to buy a generator. We picked a Westinghouse after reviewing many other brands. We tested it immediately after receiving it. Instructions are easy to understand. The generator is easy to use, move, and store. Most of all it is very silent compared to what our neighbors owns. We hope we won't have to use it anytime soon, but if we do, we're better prepared now.

Excellent generator it will run my wife's oxygen generator and recharge the portable unit with its run time of about 15 hours/tank of gas or LPG. We live in Candler, NC (Asheville) and struggled during Helene to keep the oxygen generators operating. We were without power for five days and a neighbor loaned us his generator when they left town. Also, it will work well with our cells and other electronic equipment. We are ready for the next outage which we hope doesn't happen.

I ordered and received this generator on October 16, 2024 just after Hurricane Helene's devastation that left the entire Western half of NC without electric power or any type of phone service. We used it the first time in December just after Christmas. Although I had a 24 year old generator that got us through the hurricane, I felt it was time to upgrade to a unit that would provide more electric power as our older one was limited to one 120V outlet and one 240 outlet. Our new Westinghouse generator has more than enough capability to supply all our electric needs when we need it, and I am totally overwhelmed with our purchase, as there is no rope pulling (although it's available) and it starts with no effort at all! If I could give a 10 star rating, this unit deserves it!

Starting with packaging and assembly, awesome, the 14500 is large, but at 70 plus years old , I could even assemble it by myself, even sent the exact amount of oil, no second guessing, we were involved with hurricane Helene, ready for any weather now, t/y
