Powerful, quiet, should be a great unit

I got this setup and I'm very happy with the quality of this unit. It is powering my 5 ton AC unit on propane along with the other general electrical in my house just fine. Quiet when low load and even when load goes up it's not very loud considering it's size. A lot of nice quality of life things like toolless entry. One thing that is a bit of a problem is the CO sensor, it's too sensitive. I have it in the same spot I ran my old generator in for over 500 hours and the CO sensor was triggering. I was able to disable it but that seems to have also disabled my remote start. I wish they had an override switch on all of the CO sensors on these units as this is a common problem. Too many stupid people I guess running their generators indoors or near a window. Hopefully this unit proves to be as reliable as my last Briggs one!

Initial Impressions of the Westinghouse iGen11000T

Just picked up the iGen11000TFc and while I haven't had to put it to the test yet, I'm already impressed. The build quality feels really solid. It's clear Westinghouse put thought into the design, from the enclosure to the controls. Setup was straightforward, and everything needed was included. It's heavy, but the wheels and handle make it manageable. I haven't run it under load yet, but it's quieter than I expected for its output power and, based on specs and user feedback, I'm confident it'll handle emergency home backup power when needed.

Powerful and quiet

I live in CA and have had numerous power outages due to the fires. I got this to power most of my house to include a 5-ton AC so we wouldn't be uncomfortable during the summer if the power goes out. To use AC, you will need a soft start, but very easy to install and better for your AC anyway. Also important to us was the noise level since we live in a neighborhood. For the size this is very quiet.

Easy set up

I just purchased the Westinghouse igen11000 tri fuel for our rv and home back up power. Set up was easy, only assembly was to install the wheels/chalks and add oil/fuel. Will test it out next weekend on our boon-docking trip, excited to see how it holds up on a 2 a/c rv set up!

Bought but not yet started.

I just took possession of this generator and read through the instructions. It looks well built and able to meet my emergency power needs. Unfortunately I need to have a transfer switch and propane connection installed to be able to start it up. Will update this review once installed and tested.

Dual Fuel Option is Great

I bought the iGen11000DFc 2 months ago. I was specifically looking for a generator that would run quietly. I'm very pleased with how well the generator runs and how quiet it is. The dual fuel allows me to run the generator for long periods of time.

Lots of Useful Features

4 stars instead of 5 because I haven't even started it yet. A lot of flexibility in terms of functionality, although it's for backup for hurricane season, so I hope I never need to use it. Assembly instructions could be written much more clearly and a parts list would have been helpful, but so far so good.

Runs quiet and clean

This Westinghouse inverter generator model iGen11000TFc run's quietly and efficiently. I completed the 5 hour break in and it handled varying loads with no issue. My electronic devices ran without errors due to the <3% THD of the unit. I'm quite pleased with it and can recommend it for replacement power during storms. I ran it on propane and natural gas and it was flawless.

Super Quiet

We purchased this to replace our old gasoline only generator and are so impressed by the ease of starting and how quiet it is when it's running. Puts out lots of power. I had our electrician wire it so we can plug it into the house and run just about everything on it. Had to put a soft start circuit on our central air so it wouldn't draw so much power when it went on.It's stressful enough when we have a strong storm or hurricane when we lose power and this way, we don't have to worry about it. It's a great little generator and easy to move around. Very happy with our purchase.

Food truck approved!

I purchased back in February 2025. We have used it on our beverage truck that requires a lot of power. Until recently, I have had not issues. I am currently experiencing issues with it cutting off but I am taking it to be serviced. In general Westinghouse generators are reliable, This is our 6th one in the last 4 years and they all run great.
