Workhorse

Bought Nov 26. Already used it 3x since purchase due to back to back ice/wind storms in Michigan end of December. It didn't fire up immediately but hadn't been run just once since delivery. Now we realize it came with a trickle charger for the battery for electric start. The electric start makes it so my wife can even fire it up! Runs nearly the entire household (found out the hard way that it wont run everything (the washer and electric dryer) but knowing that now, it doesnt change how i feel about it. We love it!

Excellent Generator for House Backup

Just bought this iGen11000TFc to power the house during storm outages. I installed a power inlet and can power everything so far; haven't tried the A/C yet. The generator fired right up, is reasonably quiet, and has been dependable so far. Had to change the bonded neutral to floating which was wired differently than in the manual supplement from Westinghouse. But it was easy to figure out. This is a well made machine and I do recommend it.

This Thing is Lit!

It does a great job charging our solar generator, and it runs off Propane/Natural Gas as well. This thing is mega quiet, it runs our 220v hot tub and it runs our whole house centrail air conditioner. It is a beast! Get this generator and you cannot go wrong. The Generator showed up within 3 days also.

Nice generator for home back-up!

Just bought this after a friend showed me his about a month ago at a campground. He liked the 50 amp 240volt output that he could run his whole motor home on for much less fuel than his built in diesel unit! I also have frequent power failures at my rural home, so this will come in handy.

Ready for Hurricane Season!

We bought this generator for Hurricane season in FL. We don't have natural gas here, so the dual fuel option was perfect for us. Thankfully, we haven't had to TRULY use it yet (fingers crossed that we won't!), but it was easy to put together, hook up, and test. We had our electric company install a GenerLink Transfer Switch so we'll be able to power all of our essentials during a power outage without having to worry about extensions cords.

Powerful, quiet, should be a great unit

I got this setup and I'm very happy with the quality of this unit. It is powering my 5 ton AC unit on propane along with the other general electrical in my house just fine. Quiet when low load and even when load goes up it's not very loud considering it's size. A lot of nice quality of life things like toolless entry. One thing that is a bit of a problem is the CO sensor, it's too sensitive. I have it in the same spot I ran my old generator in for over 500 hours and the CO sensor was triggering. I was able to disable it but that seems to have also disabled my remote start. I wish they had an override switch on all of the CO sensors on these units as this is a common problem. Too many stupid people I guess running their generators indoors or near a window. Hopefully this unit proves to be as reliable as my last Briggs one!

Impressed with features.

Bought it to replace my "old" ONAN Pro6000. Used it briefly today to check it out and was pleased. Have not tried it on Propane yet or used it under a load. If it performs as well as advertised it will get a 5 star rating. It is very quiet (compared to my ONAN), easy cranking. The only negative thing I found was no inline gasoline shut-off that would allow me to run all gasoline from the carburetor after each use.

Not My First Westinghouse Gen Set

This is my 4th Westinghouse generator. Had a minor problem with the first and was fixed under warranty very quickly. Never had another problem. Bought a pair of iGen5000 so that I could parallel them on my RV and worked wonderfully. Purchased the iGen 11000TFc for home backup. Have not had a chance to fire it up yet as I have a lot of projects going on but I have full faith that this gen set will serve me well.

Great generator

No issues with the initial break in. Performed a trial run on the house with no issues. The only difficulty was locating the choke to adjust upon initial start up. The manual does not indicate the location of the choke. Once we found the choke and adjusted it, the generator started right away.

igen 11000DFc

I have a igen4500 and love it. I was looking to use it to run 2 space heaters and a few snake cages during emergencies. I then realized biggest rule for generators is to make sure you don't get one that has to run at 80-100% of full capacity. Not only does fuel efficiency go way down but so does lifespan and noise level of generator. I debates on another igen4500 and parallel them or a Predator 9500. I watched some videos of parallel generators and even though power is there, noise level is much louder than just one big one. I have close neighbors....not worried about bothering them but letting them/anyone else know that I have one. So far this thing is AWESOME! If you have a igen4500 it is just its big brother. I was very impressed on how quiet it is. Also the compartments for adding oil or draining carb are so easy to get to. No nuts to unscrew, just twist the lock and pull clips. The carb already has drain tube and so does oil. After adding oil and non ethanol gas, it fired right up. Still in break in process but 2 hours in and great. Don't pay extra for less rated power from other brands. This has more power and cheaper, looks better and excellent options. I couldn't find any reviews on this model so hope this one helps.
