Performance-wise, the generator delivers consistent, clean power—more than enough to run essential appliances during outages, including a refrigerator, lights, and even our HVAC system. I especially appreciate the remote start feature, which makes operation convenient and safe in poor weather. The home is 2,300 sqft with a 5ton AC, mind you. I have a soft start to help alleviate the power. The fuel efficiency has been impressive; a full tank runs much longer than I anticipated, and noise levels are relatively low for its size — more of a steady hum than a disruptive roar. Maintenance is simple, with easy oil access and a reliable monitoring display. Overall, I highly recommend this Westinghouse generator to anyone looking for a dependable backup power solution. It offers great value for the price and peace of mind when the power goes out.

I bought this generator to replace a smaller portable generator for whole house power. I prefer to use propane as fuel, but appreciate that gasoline and natural gas are options. The generator was packaged securely and in perfect condition when I picked it up. I followed the instructions for getting it in service and it started right up with the electric start on the first attempt without any manual choke control. The key fob start was already paired with the generator and works flawlessly. I am currently breaking in the engine with the supplied oil and have not run the generator with a full load, but everything checks out. I expect this to last a good while. It is replacing a Champion that is over 15 years old. The main reason that I chose the Westinghouse is the THD rating of less than or equal to 5% -- much cleaner power than the other large portable generators out there. This will run my new furnace and heat pump which require clean power along with the other demands in the house. The old generator will power my barn/workshop and is still in service.

I just bought this after losing power twice in two weeks out in Houston just to run my AC during hurricane season. Really well made machine, no issues setting it up and came with everything I needed to get started. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs a small standby generator. My only nitpick would be that if you plan to plug it in to a transfer switch you'll need to buy that cable separately.

I've never owned a generator before but wanted to get one "just in case" for the Florida hurricane seasons or summer thunderstorms if the power is out for too long. I bought this during the Florida sales tax holiday and on sale after researching generators since earlier in the year. This unit is heavy, so it's challenging to load and unload manually but the easy to assemble feet and wheels makes it much better to move around with the built-in handle. I only fired it up once, on propane, and it started quickly and runs a bit quieter than expected. The unit seems very sturdy with solid wheels and I like the feature of the digital meter on-board which gives details of output, hertz, running time, etc. I plugged in a small fan just to run something on it and of course it was fine. I bought this large of a unit because I plan to run it on natural gas which gives the least output but rated at 8500 watts even on NG, I think I should get all I need (if I ever need it). Overall, it seems to be a nice unit and I expect it will stay nice as long as I never have to use it with gasoline (which is kind of why I bought this Tri-Fuel model).

I purchased this knowing it is more than I needed but I won't have to purchase anything bigger, Initially the first start up was a bit problematic since I connected to NG for fuel but once started it didn't hardly flinch when given a 1500 watt load and straight out of the box assembly what little there is (wheels and front legs) was simple and straight forward with the supplied wrenches. I would recommend this power unit for anyone.

I purchased this generator in the event we have another power outage caused by tornadoes or snow storms in North Alabama. I purchased it because it is true- fuel capable which will give me multiple options to run given I run out of gas or propane. I also love the auto start and numerous outlets so I can plug in almost anything. I highly recommend this unit!

Unfortunately we are out of power as we speak due to all these storms but we bought this generator and made a transfer switch and now we are able to run the whole house. The generator is amazing, I love the key fob and push button start. The ability to use tri fuel setup is very helpful when it's hard to get one fuel source. The large wheels made it a breeze to move around. The cost is cheap compared to other brands for similar size. For anyone wanting to run their central AC make sure you install a hard start on your condenser. It lowers the amps on start up.

The shipping box was pretty crushed on one side, but luckily the Generator inside appears to be in excellent shape. Installing the wheels and supports were very easy. The amount of oil that comes with the machine appears to be a little more than what is needed. At the time of this review I have not had a chance to run the generator but I am thrilled with the apparent quality of this device. Will update with more information once I have run the generator.

I bought this 2 weeks ago and have not had to use it (Fortunately lol) so my review is based off of features, options, and ease of assembly and startup! I set this generator up by myself thinking I'd probably need help but the way the wheels fastened was wonderful! After I had the oil installed I connected my propane tank and it started right up using the remote on the 2nd try. Love it! I bought it for the tri-fuel capabilities so I could connect it to my son's and daughter's houses with natural gas and my house with propane. I did not want to use gasoline as the carburetor gums up when not used often. The controls are intuitive and laid out so convenient. This beats the Honda's I considered purchasing 100%. If I ever have to use it (and I hope not lol) I'll update my review but for now I'm one happy camper!

I bought this about a month ago because my wife is chronically ill and needs her equipment to function in an outage. We decided on Westinghouse due to their reliability ratings and features such as tri fuel operation. We are extremely happy with the purchase!
