I purchased this generator after carefully researching generators in this power range and finding the Westinghouse model to be the best option for the price. This is a versatile generator, able to run on gasoline, propane, or natural gas. After having found it difficult at times during emergency situations to obtain gasoline, I feel confident in having a backup fuel source available. This generator is powerful enough to run my entire household, which is all electric. With the installation of a soft start on the HVAC unit, this generator has the capacity to run everything and keep me comfortable. No more choosing which appliances to run and which to do without. The Westinghouse name is well known for quality, and I feel that I will get my money's worth out of this product. It was very easy to set up, although it is a heavy item and you might need help in unpacking it. I did it alone out of necessity and with no problems. It came shipped in a box strapped to a pallet which was placed on another pallet... so it was very secure and it arrived in perfect condition. Basically, unpack it, add the wheels and feet, check and fill the oil, plug in the battery and add fuel and it's ready to go. It doesn't get much simpler than that. I also like the remote start/stop feature, and found it fairly easy to set up the remote control. Going from my old smaller generator to my new Westinghouse generator means that I'm going from survival mode during a power outage to comfort mode. The upgrade is definitely worth the investment.

Bought this generator in January during a forecast for potential power outages in our area. We live in a semi remote place and, like everyone else, don't need to be without electricity. Unboxed and set up for use straight away, to be ready, and thankful I did! We purchased this to power our home when we loose power, which happens quite frequently in our area. It is nice that it has the remote so my wife can start it on her own if I happen to not be home. We are excited to run everything in our house and be comfortable when we loose power.

I purchased this generator a couple of weeks ago, and have no complaints. It started right up on propane and ran flawlessly. I'm still breaking it in (I/B says that it shouldn't be loaded to >50% of nameplate for the first 5 hours of run time), but so far I'm very happy with how it carried the house loads. No lights flickered when turning on a microwave or coffee pot, and our OLED TV worked like it always does on the normal power supply. My only wish is that the data center on the front panel provided an indication of power draw (it only provides indication of voltage, frequency, lifetime hours, and run time/maintenance reminders).

Bought it for standby power during storms. Have not put it to the test yet but once I put in oil and hooked up to propane it cranked right up. It is not as loud as I was expecting. I think it is the best bank for the buck compared to inverter generator and it is safe for electronics.

Bought this generator a month ago as ice storm was approaching - came highly recommended by my electrician. We lost power and this generator saved us - dependable, we used regular gasoline, but it has option for propane and natural gas. Worth every penny!!

I bought this full house generator last June. I bought it specifically for power outages resulting from ice storms in the winter. We did have an ice storm this year, but we did not lose power. However, I did hook up the generator for a trial run. It worked very well. I am glad that I made the purchase for the peace of mind.

Purchase this generator for power outages. The generator was secured well on the pallet. I used one of the wheels to prop the generator up while putting on the base parts & was able to accomplish this part on my own. The generator was easy enough to set up & started without a problem. I needed this specific generator in order to connect to my 50 Amp box for emergency power. I turned the main breaker off & tested the generator on backup power. Everything worked amazing! I am excited to see how this generator will hold up is a real power outage (which normally lasts several days in my area). So far I am very pleased with this purchase!
