The use of the smart function is hit or miss. Even when I have being using it for BBC iplay on one day it may not work the next. I keep getting the message "I keep getting "host name does not match server certificate". I have switched server and TV on and off and checked for software updates but still works sometimes and not others.

The screen is obviously the first thing you notice because it's massive, but I was also really impressed by how thin the TV is. The built in handles are a small detail, but they made moving and positioning a TV this big much easier. The colors look amazing, and the picture feels really immersive on such a large screen. I've also been pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. Another feature I've enjoyed is the AI technology that helps optimize the picture and sound depending on what I'm watching. It makes the overall experience feel more tailored without me having to constantly adjust settings. Overall, it's a great fit if you have the space and want a true big screen experience at home. I'm very disappointed with the picture quality, especially in a dark room. Dark scenes look horrible with uneven backlighting, bright spots, blooming, and poor black uniformity. Adjusting the picture settings doesn't fix it. On top of that, it doesn't even include LG's Magic Remote—you have to purchase one separately if you want it. It also lacks Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support, which is extremely disappointing for a 98-inch TV at this price. Between the poor dark-room performance and missing premium features, I would not recommend this TV for movies or home theater use.
