Can only put straight branches in. Can't expect it to eat up branched yard debris. Wish I had known this when I trimmed back the overgrown branches on my bushes. I would have cut them off in smaller and straighter pieces. Shred is great size to add to the compost heap.

I am I am an 81 year old female. I have two large maple trees in my yard and I did not want to have to go to the dump with all those leaves. It would definitely take more than one trip. I use the shredder yesterday for the first time. It did a great job. It was time consuming, but I am very glad I purchased it.

In need of a small, but powerful chipper, I read the reviews on this Westinghouse model and decided to give it a try. Instructions for assembling it were simple and easy to follow. As soon as I had it assembled, I chipped up a small pile of live oak branches and it worked as advertised. Within minutes, I had 20 pounds of material which fit handily in my trash can.

Loved the mulch our first shredder produced but it quit working after second use. Fortunately, after trading a few emails with Westinghouse Service Department, they sent a replacement. Much appreciated. Time will tell if this one gives us several years of use.

The last two shredders (EW) has blades where the whole for the allen keys are incredibly shallow making it impossible to remove blades after they dull. The Westinghouse blades have drop enough holes for easy voltage removal. The paddle has pre-set slaves on either side of the shredder for easy storage and access. Love this little chipper; powerful for its size. Helped a ton with handling lots of branches and twigs from a dead tree. Recommend!

I purchased this item a week ago. I used it this afternoon and after 5 minutes the motor was blowing smoke. Very disappointed.

Purchased today. High hopes! It will be a true timesaver.

Great little chopper for small twigs, branches and tree pieces. Grinds to a fine mulch. Definitely need ear protection as is on the noisy side.
