I did thorough research between this generator and other manufacturers. The WGen12000DF offered the better options such as the 5% THD along with the fuel efficiency of 11 hours @ 50% load. The auto idle feature is great too. You don't get these many features with competitor models. It arrived within a week due to shipment. No damages to shipment. Came with oil and battery. Connected the battery, added oil and fuel. The generator fired after a couple cranks. I got it registered for warranty and am ready for hurricane season here in Florida.

Love this generator and the remote start. We rely heavily on a generator in the stormy winter months on an island in the PNW. Having dual fuel capability is really awesome, and the last storm knocked out the gasoline pumps but it didnt effect us as when we ran out of gasoline, all I had to do was swap over the the barbeque propane tanks to gfet us through until power was restored!

I bought this ahead of Florida hurricane season 2023. We put together and attempted to start it hours before a hurricane was due....and we couldn't get it to start. We were lucky that we did not lose power. It turned out that the generator I bought had a bad battery. We were able to charge the battery and the generator started up.

This will run the whole house when the power goes out. Minimal assembly, east to understand instructions and user friendly features for ease of maintenance. This is my second westinghouse generator the first is 9 years old and has over 300 hours on it and it still works great.

This is the third WGen generator I have purchased. I love the fit and finish and the WGen20000c seems to be the best so far. Unfortunately, during my first use of the generator there was a transient power draw somewhere inside the generator which took it down. I am hopeful that Westinghouse can make this good and I can upgrade my overall rating!

I bought this generator due to the reviews of previous owners' comments. I can verify that this generator can power a small house. It has enough watts to do this. The electric start adds a nice feature. Took me about 30 minutes to unbox and assemble this generator. We'll build with a 3 year warranty.

I bought this generator a week ago. Very easy to assemble. Manual instructions is very simple and accurate! Following instructions I did push start first without a problem and second start by remote control. Everything is perfect! Thanks a million to Westinghouse!

I just bought this, so I am still exploring everything it can do. I have to say for the price it comes in way neyond many others with fewer features in the same category. The dual fuel is a great feature and the remote start is handy. I'm looking forward to seeing what all this is able to handle. It is a workhorse!

Passed all tests and ready to install. I like the "smart" feature of dropping to idle with the electrical load comes off. I also like the oil cooler and oil filter location. Solid and well thought-out design. So features and construction rate 5 stars. If it lasts as long as the 5kw it replaces (20 years), I'd give it 10 stars.

I just picked up my WGen12000DF and am really impressed with the quality of this generator. It was well packaged and set up was really easy. I have it set up and did a test run, much quieter than I expected. The remote start is really nice, will make it easy for my wife to use in the event I am out of town when the next hurricane comes through.
