Looks perfect

Just got it. Already to start it up. I'm hoping it works sweet. To run AC in the summer when power outages. It's a big bad boy generator. I have it 4 stars because I haven't used it yet!. But if it's works perfectly then 5 stars.

Power and Versatility in one

Overall, I'm very impressed with this Westinghouse generator in terms of both the amount of power it provides, expansion capabilities, quality construction, and versatility of use. I bought this generator to be primarily used for home power in case of emergency. With up to 12,500 watts of surge power and 9500 watts running power with gas, it can handle pretty much my entire house. I LOVE the dual fuel options, as I usually have plenty of propane I can use as well. Even though the surge and running wattage is a bit lower when using propane, I still have plenty of juice to power the necessary items when the grid goes down. Esthetically, the generator is very handsome, with neat lines and logical functionality. I will be using the 30 amp/240 volt plug with a house transfer switch for now, but having a 50 amp/240 volt plug allows me to upgrade in the future. Before I bought this generator, I did quite a bit of research. This generator, the Wes9500DFc is by far the best for the money. I would highly recommend this generator if you're looking for one of the best that combines awesome looks with high performance. POWER…VERSATILITY…QUALTY…you get it plus more with this Westinghouse 9500 DFc generator.

No Sound!!!!!

Hopefully, I will change my mind soon. As of now, my brand-new WGen20000 will not start. Not even a sound. Followed the starting directions. Battery charged, plenty of fuel and oil. Pushed the button with no sound. I've got a big job that requires this size machine, and I will not be ready because of this issue. Received the machine with the box already open with parts missing. Right now, it just seems like a bad expensive purchase. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Dual Fuel Generator

I was looking for a Dual Fuel Generator and Westinghouse had what I was looking for. It is powerful enough to run my entire house during a power outage. One drawback is that the oil dipstick is hard to reach and not easy to get out or put back in again. Other than that so far I am really glad that I purchased this generator.

Verified Purchase

The item came on two pallets which made it difficult to get on the ground since it weight is 400lb and I am 87 years old. There is a lot to learn reading the owner's manual. So, I have not run it yet. I have been buying heavy duty extension cords for the hurricane season before there becomes scarce.

Getting New Generator going went well

I got unit going in gasoline mode by following good directions and it works good . Noise level is no more than my lawn mower and 110v power receptacle works fine. I will check it in Propane mode tomorrow when I get a propane tank. . Dont expect any problems.

Top of the line Generator!

Powerful, efficient, and quiet! After extensive research, I found the W12000DF Generator is the most efficient on fuel in the class of its size... AND it's the best bang for your buck. Along with a great warranty, what's to hesitate? It provides more runtime on a tank of gas than other comparable unit I looked at. We also heat our home with propane, so this spring, I'm planning on running a line to the rear patio so there will plenty of fuel for any extended outage situation. There are plenty of outlets. The weatherproof outlet covers are a great feature, snap in place. We live in a rural area and the electric goes out every season. This past winter it was out for 5 days...frustrating as it is, but finally we can run our entire home on this plant alone...we have 2 separate electric entrances, and it runs both. Before, on our little generator, we could only run on 110; a few lights and no appliances; now we can run everything, including the electric range, water heater, well pumps and even my small welder (if I need it). For a portable unit, this Gen packs a great punch. It's heavy, but once in place, it'll just do its thing. I love the push button start and the remote start FOB...super easy; no more pulling recoil cords!...especially in freezing weather! If you use the remote start, the switch on the Gen will have to be "on", which means it will put a continual drain on the battery but just remember to turn it off when in storage. Comes with its own charger, simple to use. Battery is a little difficult to attach but it's kept out of the way and once it's connected, forget about it. The charger port is on the front of the panel so it's not a problem to charge it. I would suggest purchasing a transfer switch to compliment your unit. I got a 50 amp outside connector box with a twist-lock cord and hardwired the box directly into our circuit panels. Works great!
