What happened to the lovely sourdough bread. We were so happy to find that gem . Was buying two loafs a week. Didn't even mind the unsliced loaf! I purchased a bread slicer . Then sliced was being offered and original no longer available. It was ok for a while then it changed flavor, texture, color! WHAT IS DRIED SOURDOUGH? I checked with my daughter also a fan she had the same opinion. I truly love almost all aspects of Sam's Club. I've been plus a member since the 90's and Scan n go is genius. I have earned way more than plus membership cost with my earning from the Sams/ Club credit card payback. So my complaint for the sourdough seems small. However I miss the great sourdough bread. So please bring back the original recipe for sourdough. Sliced or not I'm good either way . Thanks for saving me money and time. Loyal member.

I never leave reviews, but I'm so sad Sam's decided to change this bread. It was perfect! My entire family loved it %26 I purchased it regularly. I do not know what changed, but the last one did not taste like sourdough at all. Actually, it tasted really bad.

Bought this product 3 months ago and the ingredient list was flour, water and salt. It tasted amazing. Now it's full of preservatives and unnecessary ingredients like yeast. The texture is different, the taste is different. Tastes like the same garbage from the regular grocery stores.

I am very disappointed and frustrated by a recent change to the ingredients in your sourdough bread.I suffer from gout, and enriched flour is one of my biggest flare-up triggers. Because of this, I have avoided enriched flour for years. I specifically purchased your sourdough bread because it was clean, pure, and consistently scored a perfect 100/100 on the Yuka app.Recently, I've experienced several painful gout flare-ups. Upon checking, I discovered you changed the ingredients without any notice to customers. The new version now contains enriched flour. There was no sign or warning on the shelf indicating this major change. Even scanning the UPC code on the Yuka app now shows no rating for the current product.Making such a drastic ingredient change without informing loyal customers is unacceptable. At the very least, there should be a clear sign on the display alerting shoppers to the reformulation.I expect better transparency from your store. Whoever made the decision to quietly change the recipe should be held accountable.I will no longer be purchasing this product and will be sharing my experience with others.

Im so tired of companies swapping out quality products and replacing it with trash and trying to call it the same thing to try and fool us. Really insulting our intelligence with this garbage. this is NOT sourdough. Its white bread with added ingredients to mimic the taste of sourdough. Companies will always choose profit over quality.

This bread contains yeast - this is not actual sourdough bread, but rather a white/italian loaf with added vinegar and acids to give it a "tang" that attempts to mimic the sourdough flavor. Many retailers are pulling this trick with their sourdough. Up until very recently, Sam's had a wonderful Member's Mark authentic sourdough that we enjoyed thoroughly - bring back the old recipe!

I was buying the sourdough made from starter for years. It was great and had a decent ingredients list for something I don't have to bake myself. Then they made this. Taste is ok. Ingredients list is long. And canola oil. Why? You had a great thing and changed it. I would not repurchase

So disappointing. They changed their sourdough. The one they used to have was real sourdough. Now this one is fake sourdough. It's just regular bread with flavors added to taste like sourdough. So you don't get the benefits of sourdough. Not sure why they changed it. Their other one was perfect. I used to recommended their sourdough to everyone because it was delicious and the price was great. I will not be recommending it anymore and I will no longer be purchasing

Unfortunately, Sam's Club changed the vendor of their Sourdough Bread from the previous healthy and natural ingredients, to the one they have now a days, the recent version of the Sourdough Bread contains a lot of fillers, and on top of that, they use Canola oil. I hope they read all the complaints and negative reviews, and bring back the original Sourdough Bread that they used to sell.

Terrible. This used to be a great "clean" product with minimal ingredients and now it's full of junk. Whoever made the decision to make this change should lose their job. The people who buy this want minimal ingredients and no junk - the way it used to be!
