This product does not work. The touch screen to control it is complete dysfunctional. I ordered a replacement touch screen and that doesn’t work. The WiFi connectivity does not work and there is no way to pair it with Bluetooth. There is no way to turn this sauna on or off or control it. The structure is decent, but water and snow get through the cracks. It was incredibly difficult and time consuming to assemble. It is clear they did no quality assurance or any testing whatsoever before they released this to market. Save yourself a lot of trouble and get another product. After speaking to their customer service, it is clear that my issue is not a one off issue. They have a long list of other clients with these same issues.

I love this Sauna, easy to put together and it rips with the 9Kw heater. Great investment!

If it worked, id love it. I will say- even though we bought it at Sam's, the BYD customer service and tech support has been the best we've ever seen. They are still trying to help us. We paid for a professional electrician to put the outlet for it in, and install the wiring. It was also professionally assembled. 1st time using it, the entire control box blew. And the touch panel wasn't working. Had the electrician come out, check the power outages, it was fine. BYD sent us another control box and panel. Had that installed professionally. Cant get the app to stay connected even though its 10 feet from my house. Bought 4 wifi boosters, and 2 extenders. Still won't connect unless we hard reboot it. It stays paired a few hour's then goes offline. I cant turn it on manually either. I have to play with the touch panel (very sensitive) to get it to turn on. Last night, the heat would not stop at the set temperature, it got to 215. Then this morning it won't heat at all. If it worked without problems, this would be a dream. Im hopeful BYD can help work out the kinks. Its great when its working. Good quality wood, big inside. Such a bummer.

Bought this a couple weeks ago and put it together myself, the instructions were fairly straightforward especially using the app. Advertised 4 hr build time with two people but it took me around 8 because I took my time. Love the way it looks and smells. It did have a small leak coming in the roof on the first rain so I siliconed around where the metal meets the trim on the front and back and hasn’t leaked since. Still waiting on my electrician to show up so make sure you plan ahead! Not in a rush because it’s July in North Carolina! Still happy with the product so far.

The assembly process was long but straightforward and clear. I had a piece of wood that was defective and the company replaced it right away. I'm pleased with all aspects of this sauna and use it daily.

We have debated between a hottub and sauna for a couple years and when we walked into Sam’s and saw this on display for such an excellent price, we came home, did a lot of research and went back the next day to purchase. I have been going through cancer treatments and have developed some neuropathy, and this sauna now provides nightly relief before going to bed. At first , the six cartons seemed a little overwhelming, but we are both very mechanical and have tackled similar projects in the past. Help is needed for unloading as it takes three people to handle some of the cartons. The instructions are very well written and detailed but it does take some time to sort through the parts. One step (standing and stabilizing the end panels) does require 3 people minimum to complete this step. Overall we had 1-3 people work on assembly over a 3-4 day period that totaled about 48 man hours. Once completely assembled, it took our electrician about 3 hours to extend our circuit about 20 feet and complete the hookup. We sealed the outside of the sauna with two coats of boiled linseed oil that deepened the richness of the cedar grain and completed the beauty of the sauna since ours sits in a wooded area and is well camouflaged. We have been enjoying our sauna nearly everyday and after an initial issue with operating the controls with wifi, we have had only one problem with an overheating issue which we do need to follow up with the manufacturer. Highly recommend this purchase if you have the mechanical/ carpentry experience for assembly.

Great value, especially w/ the $300 instant cash off. Heats up QUICK and I had no issues with connecting to WiFi. Only minor annoyance is the light inside needs a separate 110v plug

What a nice product. I purchased an outdoor kitchen, 2 carports, and a Paxton barrel sauna (still assembling) all from Backyard Discovery. Tried the outdoor kitchen first and liked it so much we just kept going. The installation instructions made it a cinch. Sealed with linseed oil and sauna oil which brought out the beautiful color.

I bought on New years eve and had it installed immediately. I love the size. If I was able to get the app to connect to my sauna I would give this 5 Stars. My husband and I use it multiple times a week the only thing is not being able to use the app. Delivery was excellent and the BYD team has contacted me throughout my journey honestly one of my best gifts to myself.

A couple years ago, we purchased a sauna online in effort to help survive the long midwest winters. It seemed like a great idea but then it arrived. The roof did not properly sit on the walls, the heater took way too long to get hot, and then the door would let all the heat out anyway. Then we had to go through the hassle of returning the thing. Fast forward a couple of years and we began to be interested in trying to find a sauna again. We were recommended the Paxton by a couple we knew, and following an exhausting amount of research, we took the leap and purchased the Paxton. We have never been happier and will never look back. The sauna is ready in minutes and stays warm despite the sub zero temperatures that we have. I can turn the sauna on from my phone which means we only have to brave the short walk outside. The construction is high quality, sturdy, and is going strong despite near daily use. Our family is feeling healthier, happier, and now making the best of the winter with this sauna. We give it all the stars and then some!
