This machine I used 3x so far, I cleaned my carpet and upholstery. I was very surprised of how clean everything came out. Also very embarrassed of the dirty water I emptied. So far I am so glad I purchased this machine. The only issue that was a little annoying is the dirty water tank fills up quick (on max)- other than that, this machine is perfect!!

I’ve had this product for several years. The main annoyance is that the machine stops working before the dirty water reservoir is full, forcing me to empty it multiple times. And the upholstery attachment does not work, so I cannot do the stairs at all because the machine is too heavy. I will have to hire someone for that.

I recently purchased a Little Green machine and was not pleased with the amount of water extracted. As a result, I did research before purchasing 3588. Although Bissell was recommended by Consumer Reports, I checked Hoover. Hoover reviews said it was better than Bissell, but after watching a U-Tube video demonstration, I knew it would put too much water on my carpets and would not meet my standards for extracting water. Bissell exceeds my expectations! It was easy to use, got up stains, and my carpets dried quickly. I used the "express clean" setting and overlapped small areas before moving to another section. The "clean shot" was convenient for visible stains. I then slowly extracted all of the water out of my carpets. Any water left behind leaves dirt, too. I tried to extract more water by moving in different directions and put the machine against the baseboard to remove dust from the edges of the carpet. I learned to clean the cover often because accumulated dirt can spit out onto the carpet. I did not have to empty the dirty water often as some reviews stated. Although I have no pets or children, parts of my carpet had not been cleaned in 20 years! Cleaning four bedrooms and a large loft was so easy I cleaned coral-colored chairs that had not been cleaned in over 30 years. I cannot believe how nice they look! My final test was Karastan runners that I have on hardwood floors. It is very important to control the water because water that penetrates area rugs can damage the wood floor. I recently cleaned these rugs with my previous carpet cleaner and was amazed how much more dirt was extracted. I am happy I added a brush cleaning tray to my order. The measuring cup that comes with it is convenient to fill the water tank, and a lot of dirt came out of the brushes. I plan to clean the brushes after cleaning every room in the future. My only complaints are: 1. The control switch would be easier to use if it was metal, and 2) the power cord is located too low on the machine and could be longer. Weight is not an issue because I took the brush cover and two tanks off when I carried the machine upstairs.

I’ve had my Bissell steam carpet cleaner for a few months now and have only great things to say. I only take the time to review products that I either really like or am disappointed with. In this case, I’m very happy with the product! I find it easy to use for several reasons. First, it’s easy to fill and holds a gallon of water plus cleaning solution. Second, it’s very easy to empty the dirty water and keep going. Third, although it’s heavier to push and pull than a vacuum cleaner, it’s very effective in cleaning the carpet and pretty easy to maneuver. I was using a special light to help me detect the areas on my carpets that had “pet accidents “. Our newest rescue dog has for some reason decided to “mark” certain areas. We didn’t realize it at first so some of the areas dried. The heated cleaner helped to lift the soiled areas fairly easily and quickly. I used the light afterwards and detected no signs of the stains. Getting all the way down to the carpet pad is another issue. I think this cleaner can only do the carpet surface well. I’m not sure anything can get to the pad to totally neutralize the smell and stain. That said, I’m very pleased with the results. I have not used the hose yet for the stairs but it looks really simple to use. My biggest issue is figuring out when I can clean the stairs without anyone needing to access them so the carpet has time to fully dry.

I am very impressed with this cleaner. It is extremely well- constructed and is simple to use. Unlike my previous carpet cleaner, lots of thought seems to have gone into making this cleaner easy to handle and maintain. The assembly instructions as well as the cleaning instructions are very user friendly. Finally, it does an amazing job of cleaning my carpets. I haven’t tried it on upholstery yet, but I expect the same excellent results. I wish I had the stair cleaning attachment, but it’s not in my budget just yet.

Absolute garbage. Made it impossible to clean the plastic portion where all the gunk gets stuck. They provide one plastic tool which is seemingly the only way to get up into the head and clean it. Even popping the plastic portion off is mostly just for show as it doesn’t expose the gunk trapped in the narrow duct. Aside from that, it’s still trash. Leaves residue on the carpet, the various cleaning solutions made for it smell terrible, and the portion that contains the nasty water is also impossible to clean.

Phenomenal machine. So well built and durable. Saves so much over the "big yellow" cleaning service. Love how it soaks the cleaner on say 3 pull passes and then not pressing button on 3 or more pull passes to suck all of the fluid up. With that method it drys amazingly fast. Great return on investment!

I have been buying Bissell floor cleaning products for 20 years, and the design and function of the Revolution Pro Pet series blows me away. So easy to use, does a stellar job, and the new features to use in cleaning it out after use are really stellar- it only took me about two minutes and it’s pristine again. Kudos to the team that made this carpet cleaner happen!
