The best home ice maker around

Easy to operate and makes nice chewable Ice. This is my second machine. This is the 2.0 version. I passed my original OPAL machine to my son.

Upgraded from FirstBuild Opal to 2.0

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this unit because it stated the assembly product dimensions are (LxWxH) 24.75 x 20.25 x 14.74. The G.E Profile they sent was (LxWxH) 17.5 x 13.43 x 16.5. When I contacted GE they stated that they do not make a unit that is 14.75 inches tall. I am completely unhappy that this unit states the wrong size in height.

Absolutely love  it!!  People often speak about the noise.  After about two days, I was adjusted and don't pay any attention to it.  It's no different than an ice maker in a refrigerator.  The reservoir and container hold quite a bit of water so you are not constantly refilling.  The ice is wonderful.  I wish I had purchased years ago.
