Failure out of the box

Out of the box the maker did not work. I tried some of the troubleshooting methods I found on youtube with no luck. Would recommend to anyone not to purchase this machine

The Best!!

This is the absolute best ice maker you can buy! I am obsessed with the ice from Sonic and used to buy two bags of week. It is so nice now to have the exact same ice as them but making it in my kitchen. Thank you GE for making an awesome product!

Game changer

Good ice, crushed ice, wet ice, fast food ice. Whatever you want to call it, this machine will change your beverages forever. Easy to use. Set-up is a piece of cake. No issues whatsoever.

I have had the Opal Pre GE...This is even Better!!

I had purchased an opal when they first came out by 1 build for the office. It got a lot of use! Now that GE has purchased the opal, it is even better.

Great Ice

This ice maker really does make good ice. It’s a little loud and we have had problems with the machine saying the ice bin is full after the ice has melted down. Over all great ice but minor annoyance with noise and sensor.

Love my ice maker

So far this has been a great experience. The setup was easy and the ice maker is really great. It does have a refigerator sound and you can hear the ice when it moves through the end of the tube and when it drops but it isn't bothersome.

Wife's Present

From not sure we really need one as our fridge makes ice, to the most used item in our kitchen. My wife has wanted one for quite a while. Living in Vegas it will pay for itself pretty quickly.

Absolutely Love It!

You won’t regret buying this! I mulled over the decision for over a year. Glad I bought the 2.0 with Wi-Fi! Now it makes it easier to make ice at any time!

Pros and Cons

I love the ice that it does make, however I dont love how it leaks water out of the bottom of the drawer . I also dont care much for the way its set up. You have to hold the drawer open while you get ice or the whole drawer falls out.

Hello. We apologize for the leaking ice machine. Please make sure the drawer is closed all of the way after getting ice. When getting ice from the bucket you pull forward an then tilt bucket slightly downward and it should sty there until you push the bucket back closed. Love this ice maker!

The whole family has been enjoying the ice from this machine. It was a bit confusing in the beginning to set it up, but once it started making ice…there’s no going back. We love it!
