we absolutely love our opal 2.0 nugget machine and do our regular cleanings. It is a little cumbersome to clean very difficult to find replacement parts even through GE. ours has been down for the last month because I cannot find a replacement ice spin or ice spin warped because my daughter put it in the dishwasher and it melted so I found an extra side bin, but I cannot find a replaceable ice tray holder anywhere any suggestions on how we can replace that? what do I need to do?

This ice machine is awesome! Our ice maker went out on our refrigerator and I had already purchased this for my bar. We moved it into our kitchen since it is quiet and perfect size for the counter. The ice production is quick it only takes a few minutes for it to make enough ice for our family of 4 and including guests. It is easy to install and use. Love this product.

Best Christmas gift ever! An Ice maker that makes the “good ice” is a must have. All of my drinks seem to taste better. Super easy to set up and ice is made very quickly! Doesn’t take up much cabinet space and very convenient!! Love everything about this!!

Great machine, as a family of 5 we go through ice and even more ice in the Arizona heat. Should have purchased this a long time ago. Only complaint is the machine says the tank needs water every 3 days. The water tank is full and basically have to go through cleaning more often then the instructions say. The water I use is filtered so I know that is not causing the sensor or filter to be cleaned.

Setting the ice maker was straight forward. Add tsp of bleach and required cups of water and let the system flush and repeat with just water to clear out any residue chemical. I find that if you are near the sink for the initial sanitizing it makes it easier to flush out the liquid. Now once sanitizing is complete, place the ice maker to the end state location. Fill the water reservoir (side of machine) with clean water. I use Reverse Osmosis (RO) water to produce clean tasting ice. I reckon this would cut down with any mineral buildup as well. The ice maker will begin to make ice. You will hear the hum, buzz that any fridge makes while it is cooling. All is normal and you will forget it once you get used to it. It has Wifi connectivity which is great to control on/off and check progress. I personally do not use it much. The ice is plenty quick for me. Next day I had a bin full of pellet ice. Great ice and any remaining melted ice will go back and be remade into ice. In summary: Pros— *Great ice and consistent pellet shapes *The bin is lit with white light that can be dimmed or turned off *Includes scoop and liquid tray *Looks great on the counter and does not take up too much space Cons— *Noisy if you are sensitive to humming and buzzing *When removing ice bucket to retrieve ice, drops of water will occur meaning you will need to clean the tray of spilled droplets of water *Do not overfill the water reservoir or machine will not pump water to make ice, received “add water” notification even though the reservoir is full *Machine is imported and quality can be of concern when warranty, very limited 1 year expires

I received this ice maker as a birthday gift and it is the best ever!! My whiled family uses it all day long and it is so simple to use. It was also easy to set up . I love the size of the ice and it is very quiet. It fits nicely on the countertop under the cabinets

I love the ice but the maker requires a lot of work. You have to descale and clean out the lines at least 2 times a month. If not it will make the most awful sounds, it will leak. Thankfully, we have learned how to take it apart to do a deep clean after a year and I have to say it was needed. The lines were disgusting even with us cleaning it once a month. Now we have learned it needs to be cleaned more frequently. Other than that it makes the best ice and it's connected to my phone so I can do diagnostics and even set schedules.

My wife loves this thing. If she could dump me for this thing she would. She trenderly feeds it filtered water and then consumes ice water all day every day. I set it up in the app to create ICE in the morning before she wakes up and to turn off at night. The only time I find it empty is when we have guests over. Installation was super simple. It takes up a ton of space on the countertop but it is well worth the sacrifice. One thing to note is that if it runs extremely low on water it can make enough noise to be distracting.

I was given this as a Christmas gift after returning 2 other ones that did not have the ability to keep ice frozen. This machine is quiet, makes enough ice and keeps it frozen leaving room in my freezer for food. I use this ice all day in my coffee, water, smoothies or soda. It’s an investment but I have found it to be worth the price.

Out of the box the machine is great. Looks good in the kitchen and makes amazing ice. Very easy to set up connect WiFi and program a schedule using the app. Unfortunately, we are currently on our THIRD machine in about 5 years (we had the original opal initially and we were able to upgrade it under warranty from retailer when it died) and all have had the same issue. They get progressively noisier then suddenly start making horrible squealing sounds then eventually stop working. Quality is a major issue. Especially at this price point. We only ever use RO water, it was descaled on a fairly regular and was put through a full cleaning at least 4 times since being purchased in June 2023. Still - it started squealing and stopped making ice.
