OMG this ice maker is AMAZING!!! I chose to purchase a similar ice machine and it was a disaster after 2 replacements I finally decided to buy the last machine with the product name GE OPAL and I am beyond impressed with the ease of setting it up and I can even control it over the internet. Never disappointed and couldn't wait for the ice to have my favorite cocktail I'm one happy consumer.

Love the ice & easy to use. However it does make really loud squeaky sounds when the components become too frozen. The machine does sense this and kicks itself into defrost mode, but sometimes it takes a while before it actually switches over to defrost making the sound very unpleasant. For a premium price, I expect more from this product. Glad I bought it for a much more price.

Love this ice maker. It is super cute, produces alo of ice very quickly. The bin holds quite a bit of ice and it doesn't melt as quickly as he cheaper ice makers I have just used. It is quiet and you rarely hear it making ice. The side tank and convenient too, you don't have to keep removng the ice storage to pour water into it! I love the side tank. If you are on the fence about getting the side tank, do it you will not be disappointed. Wished I would not have wasted my money on the cheap version of nugget ice makers, the money I spent on those I should have just bought this one the first time around.

My husband is a devoted ice-chewer, and we agreed to always buy a cheap version of an item before getting the creme de la creme so to speak. After our cheap ice maker broke we bit the bullet and purchased this item. Although it takes up far more counter space in an apartment than I'd like, it truly has become a staple in our home and it has actually encouraged us both to stay more hydrated throughout the day. I like that it doesn't have to be running all day everyday and I think the app is user friendly. The lighting is aesthetically pleasing and the machine is relatively quiet.

I received this ice machine from my husband for Christmas as a new addition to my Queendom n it worked great! I had to call about the creepy noise it was making but overall, it was good until now. I did a cleaning as instructed but then on the first batch of ice was these little black things in the ice. Needlrss to say I was mortified bc I immediately thought of mold! I tried to clean again to no avail. Now it won't even produce ice! It makes that creepy noise n that's all! I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED bc this machine was loved by all that came toy home and I cried for one year after year until my hubby broke down n got it! Oh well, I guess it was fun. Can't figire out what else to do.

i gave my wife the Opal nugget ice maker for her birthday and she absolutely LOVES it. I have to refill the side water holder at least once a day. The nuggets are all soft, perfectly formed little gems that she loves. If you like to chew on ice, consider the Opal to really enjoy nibbling on these soft nuggets.

I purchased this product a few months ago and so far we love it. It does make a bit of noise while producing ice but you quickly get used to it. You can program it to produce ice at night but I have not bothered with this yet. It requires regular cleaning (once per week) if you want clean, good tasting ice. The only issue I have encountered is the machine has incorrectly registered as "add water" a few times when the sidetank is full. I checked my hoses and ensured they were not pinched or blocked.

We love our new nugget ice maker. Only issue is refilling the side tank, it can be messy. You have to be very careful when you flip the tank back in to the water tank. If there is too much water left in the tank, it goes everywhere. Can be a bit noisy, but only when making ice - this does not bother us much.

Easy to set up. Great phone app to program when to start making ice before you get home from work and when to turn off. Perfect ice nuggets that are chewable. Makes a lot of ice in a short amount of time. Kept up with our party of 25 people. Are family all enjoys this ice machine. Fits perfectly on a standard depth countertop and under the upper wall cabinets as long as you have a min of 17"of height space. Matches our Black Stainless appliances very nice.

I have had this product since February as a birthday gift from my husband. I have had nothing but issues with it!! I only use bottles of distilled water in the machine, yet, after a couple of days, the cleaning indicator comes on. So I have to take the entire thing apart and clean everything. I've even performed a deep clean using vinegar. Yet, within days the cleaning indicator comes on and stays on for days. It's very frustrating and we are probably going to sell it.
