Great size of ice. Rapidly makes ice and a nice feature is it stops automatically when the ice bin is full. Sound when functioning is noticeable but not a deterrent from use. Easy access to refilling the water reservoir. The WiFi controls work very well and automatically shuts down ice making at night and can restart at any desired time.

I not only love this ice maker but I am in love with this ice maker. It's been life changing for me and others in my house. Easy to set up, clean, and use. Even with the hard calcified water I have, the ice taste really clean and purified. The app tells me when I need to clean it and love the smart features it has. Highly recommend if even just for the sonic style ice it offers. To top it off American made!

We love this machine for our RV. It makes that good nugget ice! Great for campfire parties and get-togethers. We like how it recycles the melting ice back into the reservoir so no mess. About 12-15 min for the ice is available which is great. Highly recommend. 5 out of 5

I've wanted one of these nugget style ice makers for a long time, so I was being very careful when choosing one as they are quite pricey. However I'm so grateful I bought this one when I did as it was what kept me going when I was without AC for a week in the south. Pros: -Once it gets going, it keeps a pretty steady stream of ice going. -First few nuggets are pretty slushy, but the manual warns you that that is the case, and they start to harden up pretty quick. -The ice is the perfect consistency for what I wanted. -Larger than I thought, but not so large that I couldn't find a reasonable space for it. -The drawer is surprisingly well insulated and the ice doesn't melt particularly quick. -Water from the melted ice is cycled back through to make more ice, so less waste. Cons: -It does have some annoying noises. Not terribly loud, but can be distracting. The occasional squeak, and the constant hum can be bothersome if you are sensitive to sounds. -If you have the model without the side tank, you have to remove the drawer to refill the water reservoir, and you can't see how full it is until you do. -My model has wifi and an app but not bluetooth. As much as a I love tech, the wifi/app setup has the potential to be a web security vulnerability, and I can't in good consciousness use it. I wish it had bluetooth so I could still set a schedule for it without having to connect it to my wifi. Thankfully it doesn't have to be connected to wifi to work. On the whole, I really love this thing and I have used it everyday since it arrived. If soft ice is something you really enjoy, then you'll likely enjoy this

This little go getter has solved all of my busy family’s problems! We have 3 athletes, a nurse and a husband and we live in warm, sunny Florida. We go through sooo many bottles of ice water in a day. This ice maker is Perfect. It keeps up with our family and the ice is the most amazing texture!

BEST nugget ice maker! I shopped and read reviews on numerous nugget ice makers and I kept coming back to this one. I am so glad I chose this one. My whole family loves it and we use it every day! I highly encourage you to purchase the Opal 2.0 if you want the best nugget ice!!

Was excited about a nugget ice machine but was discouraged by some of the reviews of the first version stating the unit was loud. Opal 2.0 we received is much quieter than we expected. A comparable sound to our quiet dishwasher. When the ice machine fills the bin the unit turns off and is silent until you take more ice from the bin. We turn the unit off at night and the next morning we normally have enough ice remaining for iced OJ. Nugget ice is premium!

When it actually makes ice, it's great. Unfortunately it spends a ridiculous amount of time defrosting, which reduces the time it can make ice. My family members are just moderate ice users, but it's enough so that the ice maker pretty much never shuts off -- just cycles from "making ice" to "defrosting" constantly.

The ice maker ran for about two months. It then started to make squeaking noises. We cleaned it. We defrosted it. Nothing seemed to work. Finally it we into defrost mode and would not produce ice, no matter what we did. By the way, we never used tap water. We use distilled water.

This is the loudest, squeakiest ice maker I have ever owned. The sound is akin to basketball shoes on a newly waxed floor. You know it is making ice, so if you do not have the app, no worries, you can hear it from any room in the house. I guess some ice makers are quiet and some are very loud. Very disappointing for the price. The ice is wonderful though.
