The blacks are true and the contrast amazing. Also I’ve accidentally left things on the screen for days and haven’t had any burn in, to the point that I wonder if it’s a myth. Just incredible tvs all around.

This replaced a 65 inch C7 and the difference is just massive between the two. If your on the fence sbout upgrading an older model to the newer ones, its 100% worth it now. The only complaint i really have is just how thin they are making them now. I prefer to stand mount, and the tv is very flimsy. Would love to see lg offer some sort of rear skeletonized bracing to firm it up as an option.

It’s especially strong for movies and gaming, offering fast response times, low input lag, and full HDMI 2.1 support on all ports. The TV handles HDR well, producing rich contrast and impressive detail, and LG’s webOS platform remains smooth and easy to navigate. The picture quality is just super clean and natural, with deep blacks and realistic colors without oversaturation. Out of the box it already looked good, and after a bit of tweaking it’s become amazing for everything — movies, shows, sports, all of it just looks perfect and the size makes it feel pretty cinematic at home. For gaming, though, it really shines. Input lag feels very low, and once Game Mode is on, everything just responds instantly on PS5/PC. 4K at high refresh rates, VRR, and those HDMI 2.1 ports make it easy to plug in multiple devices and not think about it again. HDR games look great too — bright highlights, detailed dark areas, and no weird smearing or ghosting in fast scenes. If you’re into gaming and also want something that’s just solid for everyday watching, this has been a amazing upgrade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just set up my LG C5 77" yesterday, upgrading from a 50" TV, and I'm genuinely blown away. Going from 50" to 77" is a massive jump. At first, I thought it might be too big, but after a few hours, I can't imagine going back. Plugged in PS5 and played FIFA and The Last of Us to test it out. FIFA looks incredibly smooth - the grass textures, player kits, and stadium details are so crisp. The 120/144Hz really shows during fast camera pans. The Last of Us is where this TV really shines. The colors are phenomenal - the overgrown environments, lighting through broken windows, character details in cutscenes... it's like playing a different game. The OLED blacks make dark scenes actually atmospheric instead of washed out. Watched some movies last night and the picture quality is stunning. The color depth and HDR content really pop. Details I never noticed before are crystal clear. I'm already thrilled with this purchase. If you're considering the upgrade to OLED and this size, don't hesitate. The picture quality for both gaming and movies is absolutely worth it.

I upgraded from a 50 inch sharp that I bought in 2012, I couldn't be more impressed on the different of these two TV's. The Immersive experience is next level. The TV is super fast to turn on from standby mode. I am still trying to go through all the settings and customize it to my setup. I connect the TV primarily to a home theater PC, haven't tried many apps beyond youtube on the tv it worked as I would expect. F1 looks amazing I watched the Las Vegas GP and was blown away by this TV. People say this TV isn't as bright as the G5, but at max brightness this thing will fry your eyeballs at night. Would highly recommend the c5 83 inch to anyone on the fence.

I have mine in a large bright room and it is true that it is bright room ready. I enjoy the new magic remote with the new AI assistant! If you are thinking about getting this vs a QLED tv, it is worth the money!

The picture is incredibly sharp, with the kind of deep blacks and rich contrast that make movies and games look almost surreal, and the brightness is strong enough to give HDR content real punch without blowing out the details. Off-angle viewing is great too, which is a lifesaver if your couch setup isn’t perfectly centered. The sound is surprisingly full for built-in speakers, though most people buying a TV this nice will probably still pair it with a soundbar.
