It turned out to not be an issue probably in part due to the higher brightness of the C5 over prior versions. I have another 65" LG OLED that is 6 plus years old and still in excellent condition, so I don't have concerns on longevity.

The OLED picture is incredible coming from an older QLED style TV. 77 is the perfect size for a living room with high ceilings, without looking small in the room or overbearing on the wall. Setup was super quick and easy. No color tweaking required, looks great out of the box in Cinema dolby vision mode. Sound is good for a TV but nobody uses built in sound anymore.

This C5 OLED comes with an amazing amount of clarity and brightness that helps if you have a bright room. Out the box, the colors all pop on each picture setting. There's no tinkering that needs to be done. I hooked it up with my PC and PS5 and you can tell the extra Hrz really helps with gaming. I cannot think of any negatives but if you're on the fence between a 65 inch or 77 inch, go for bigger. That's a huge difference in size and it really helps bring out the picture. We went OLED bc we our family room is in a north facing room and gets hit with a ton of sunlight. The OLED helps reduce the glare drastically. Through the Black Friday deal, we also got a soundbar half off which helps improve the sound quality. I would recommend adding that to your purchase as it is needed. Overall very happy with our purchase and confident it will last us another decade. The 120 HZ helps future proof!

I expected improvements, but the difference is far greater than I imagined. The brightness alone is a huge upgrade — HDR content looks dramatically more vibrant, with specular highlights that genuinely pop in a way the C1 couldn't achieve. Colors are richer and more accurate, and the contrast feels even deeper, giving movies and shows a more cinematic look. Motion handling is smoother, and the new processor really shines in upscaling and clarity during fast scenes. Gaming performance is outstanding as well. Input lag is virtually nonexistent, and the boosts in brightness and uniformity make both dark and bright game environments feel more immersive. Everything just looks cleaner and more controlled compared to the C1. The webOS interface is faster and feels more polished, and the overall user experience is simply more responsive. Even the build quality feels slightly more refined, with that premium OLED look that LG is known for. There was a minor glitch with the HDMI Arc connection disabling my surround sound mode on my receiver. It was easily fixed. LG made it easy to enable/disable certain features like the tv talk back function and AI voice command.
