Just what I wanted
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 2nd LG OLED I've purchased. They really have the best picture quality out of all high end televisions. I use this to play on my PS5 too and the response times really are faster than a non OLED tv.
Great Picture
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really happy with the 77" C5, it is in a room with large windows on an adjacent wall and I haven't had any issues with the picture during the day, I often forget to turn on the "bright room" feature. I also really like the gaming hub overly, have always used consoles and have never been able to see FPS while playing, lots of neat features hiding in there I wasn't expecting and didn't see when researching.
Amazing looking TV, flawed remote and WebOS
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: It's an amazing looking TV. This is my 3rd LG OLED and they never let me down when it comes to picture quality. It's just stunning. The 83 inch was a lot lighter than I thought it would be, so that was a plus when mounting it to the wall. Cons: The remote is 2/5. They are going with a minimalist approach, pushing AI and ThinQ for your interactions with the TV. Please LG, if your going to go minimalist on the remote, include a play and pause button. The wheel button has been problematic to start and stop play in some streaming applications (Paramount+ comes to mind). I don't need dedicated streaming service buttons. What I really miss is a play, pause, and mute button. The holding down the volume to mute is just annoying and not intuitive. The bloatware and advertisements on the WebOS has been getting more and more invasive. LG does a decent job of letting you disable a lot of the advertisements, but I wish I could remove the apps that come preinstalled. The AI features are not impressive so far. I haven't found any of it useful, yet. Conclusion: Overall, I love the TV even with the regression in the new remote design and WebOS drawbacks.
Good quality and value
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought OLED C5 from Black Friday deal. After setup, picture quality is impressive on 4K contents. Build quality appears to be solid as material of frame and base are metal vice plastic compare to other TVs in the market. Following Rting for calibration. Color saturation is good in both bright and dark rooms. I'd like to stick with realistic pictures thus opted for Dark Room Expert mode vice Vivid. Set up process is mostly painless and logical. Interface could improve to make selecting input source easier. Sound quality is average. Not really impressed with AI Pro sound mode. Stuck with Cinema. Overall, it has been good thus far after few days of use. Hopefully it'll last for longevity.
Great TV for bright rooms
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The display delivers impressively vibrant colors, maintaining excellent picture quality even in brightly lit environments. LG's Magic Remote, with its built-in pointer functionality, adds notable convenience to everyday navigation. The panel itself is remarkably slim, lending a premium aesthetic. Audio performance, however, leaves room for improvement, and fully powering down the TV requires more than a single button press. Still, considering its overall performance and feature set, it represents strong value for the price.
Amazing TV!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first 77 inch TV and I am so happy I upgraded from a 65 inch. This TV is absolutely stunning to watch from all angles in my living room. The picture quality is outstanding, truly crispy and clear. The vibrant colors and contrast, really adds another layer to moving watching, making it all the more enjoyable. As an added bonus, the TV is very responsive and user friendly. This TV would be a lovely edition to anyone's home! Highly reccomend.
Have 3 LG OLEDs. Nothing compares
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TVs of this size are common these days and can purchased quite cheap. The quality of others though, doesn't compare to these. The blacks are true and the contrast amazing. Also I've accidentally left things on the screen for days and haven't had any burn in, to the point that I wonder if it's a myth. Just incredible tvs all around.
Absolutely beautiful TV.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got my LG C5 83" OLED—stunning! Colors pop with vibrant, lifelike accuracy that makes movies magical. Packed with cutting-edge features like seamless webOS and gaming perks. CPU feels lightning-fast so far, menus zip along smoothly. Haven't tested AI deep yet, but early vibes are promising. Sharp 4K upscaling, deep blacks, and immersive sound. Super happy—worth every penny! One caveat. I did purchase this TV during an LG promotion stating that if you left a review then you will receive a gift card back. However, I am now reading that many people are not being rewarded as they've ran out of redemption quantity. This would definitely be a changing factor and I am sure I wouldn't be the only disgruntled character since this was a big deciding factor on my purchase. A $300 "rebate" for a C5 and even a "$500" rebate for a G5 is a significant amount.
Bright, Beautiful, Immersive - LG 77" C5 Delivers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stunning 4K picture, top tier gaming performance, and an easy-to-use smart platform make the 2025 77" LG OLED evo AI C5 one of the best home theater upgrades made to date. It offers incredible brightness and contrast for both dark and sunlit rooms, plus the size delivers a true cinematic feel. Picture and sound • The OLED evo panel with the α9 AI Processor 4K Gen8 produces deep blacks, rich colors, and noticeably higher brightness than older non evo sets, so HDR movies and sports really pop on the 77" screen. Upscaling from HD and streaming sources is excellent, with clean detail and smooth motion for fast action. • Dolby Vision and HDR10 support ensure movies look as intended, and paired with Dolby Atmos and Wow Orchestra, the TV can create immersive, room filling sound even before adding an external soundbar. Gaming performance • With 4K up to 144 Hz, ultra low response time around 0.1 ms, and support for NVIDIA G SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium, this TV feels made for next gen consoles and high end PCs. Fast shooters and racing games look incredibly smooth with no noticeable tearing or lag. • The Game Optimizer and dashboard make it easy to tweak VRR, black levels, and picture presets per input, so switching from movies to gaming is quick and intuitive. Smart features and everyday use • webOS 25 is responsive and simple to navigate, with user profiles, quick settings, and plenty of streaming apps available out of the box. Voice control via built in assistants and the Magic Remote make it easy to search, change inputs, or adjust settings. • Brightness Booster technology helps the set hold up well in bright rooms, and reflections are manageable as long as it is not placed directly opposite strong light sources. Overall impression • After using the 77" C5, the combination of size, brightness, and perfect OLED contrast makes movie nights and big games feel like a theater at home. For anyone wanting a premium 77" TV that excels at both cinema and gaming, this model is easy to recommend and feels like a purchase that should remain “future proof” for years. • The 77″ LG OLED evo AI C5 4K Smart TV stands out in 2025 as one of the most well-rounded premium OLED TVs available: combining deep blacks, rich color, smooth motion, gaming readiness, and a clean smart-TV experience. For someone building a movie-ready living room or gaming command center, it's a top-tier choice — especially if you're willing to pair it with external audio.
