After 5 years of amazing quality and no issues with burn-in we jumped at the chance to add a 77 inch C5 to our collection. The CX was jaw dropping then but somehow LG just keeps getting better and better. Many don't realize that this breakthrough in technology and price was only possible due to the decades of relentless investment by LG into figuring out how to mass produce OLED TVs at an affordable price. The new Alpha 11 AI processor does an amazing job optimizing content automatically — from 4K Blu-rays to streaming shows, everything looks crisp and lifelike. Motion is buttery smooth, and the 120Hz refresh rate combined with LG's Game Optimizer makes this a dream for gaming. The input lag is nearly nonexistent, and HDMI 2.1 support on all ports is a huge plus for next-gen consoles. So many settings to tweak so you can get the levels of smoothing, de-judder, and color correction to suit your taste. Or turn on Filmmaker mode and leave the settings up to the creator of whatever you're watching! Big fans of horror movies here, so the darkness of the black pixels was a big selling point. They fully deliver on the promise; the contrast is amazing, and we're exciting to use this TV for many years to come. Only small downside is the lack of support for the Kanopy app; so many high-quality movies that we wish we had easy access to in the LG ecosystem.

The sound is surprisingly good for a slim TV, clear enough that I don't feel the immediate need for a soundbar. The TV itself is easy to use, but I'm still getting used to webOS, as it has a lot of menus and features tucked in the back end. Once you get familiar with it, though, it's smooth and powerful. Overall, really happy with the purchase.

Build quality appears to be solid as material of frame and base are metal vice plastic compare to other TVs in the market. Following Rting for calibration. Color saturation is good in both bright and dark rooms. I'd like to stick with realistic pictures thus opted for Dark Room Expert mode vice Vivid. Set up process is mostly painless and logical. Interface could improve to make selecting input source easier. Sound quality is average. Not really impressed with AI Pro sound mode. Stuck with Cinema. Overall, it has been good thus far after few days of use. Hopefully it'll last for longevity.

But once it is turned on the picture is unbelievable - crisp, bright with vivid colors that makes watching anything a joy; sporting events feel like you are there. I already had a 65” LG OLED C9 that performed beautifully but the 83” C5 is even better.
