This is such a handy device for keeping insects away! It really shines the brightest when there is little to no wind to blow the vaporized repellent away. Other than that, the battery powered aspect of it makes it ideal tossing it in with your gear and taking it to the lake or campground. And being that it's rechargable, I don't have to constantly worry about buying more batteries. Any USB powered port can recharge this unit... and your can even recharge off-grid with a handy power bank. I love how portable & convenient that this device is, and can't suggest it enough to my friends & family!

Bought this last week and I can't believe I can now sit on my porch and NOT be the buffet for the mosquitoes!! I LOVE this little machine. We've tried different things over the years but they only seemed to attract flies and moths. :/ I paid full price but it was well worth it.

I was amazed at how fast this repeller works. I live in Florida and some days if I leave the porch light on at night, hundreds of mosquitos invade my porch. I put the repeller outside and in less than 10 minutes all the mosquitoes were gone and I was able to take my dog outside. Great product!

I bought this a few weeks ago, immediately charged it and then didn’t get a chance to use it. I grabbed it earlier this week and was disappointed to find the battery dead even though it hadn’t been turned on since charging it. I charged it again for 2 days. Took it outside tonight while enjoying a fire on my patio and with the thermacell sitting on the arm of my chair, I was swarmed by mosquitoes and got multiple bites. We have used Thermacell products since the company started and own multiple units. This rechargeable liquid solution is the worse item I have ever used. I would have been better to just light a citronella candle.

Going out in the evenings usually means I am covered in big repellent or becoming a buffet for the mosquitos. I tried the Thermacell E55 in graphite and was able to enjoy my backyard patio without being bitten or needing extra bug repellent on my skin. There was no scent and no noise from the machine I only wish it came with two repellent pods instead of one stop that I could enjoy it longer before needing to run out for a refill.

Received this product for free if I have my honest opinion. Now I haven't gotten a full opportunity to use it outside. I used inside my house because we were having bug problems on top of some mosquitoes getting inside. And it worked wonderful I would even forget that it was on and we would leave it on through the night. I'm in need of a refill from using just inside the house but there was a MAJOR DIFFERENCE of the amount of bugs I was battling with in my house. But will definitely putting that to the test this weekend as we are going to be outdoors a lot. I cannot wait to see what it can do outside.

I live next door to a pond with lots of trees and bushes around. I love to hang on the back deck throughout the day, but the mosquitos are quite bothersome because of the terrain and foliage. During the summer, I can see them waiting for me outside before I even step through the doorway! Not to mention, the mosquitos we've had are the new varieties - 'Aedes aegypti' and 'Aedes albopictus' which bite throughout the day...so we never get a break from them. At our wits end, we finally broke down and bought the Thermacell rechargable. I couldn't be more pleased! I can finally enjoy my beautiful deck! It works well for us. I've tested it extensively and while I do see an occasional mosquito, it continues flying by without landing on anyone. It always works. When I don't use it, I can tell quickly as mosquitos begin to swarm again. Is it expensive? Yes, absolutely. The price is quite high for the refills and that is the downside to this great product. The refills are quite costly if you have to use this product on a daily basis. But the payoff is the peace of mind that I can sit outside and drink my morning coffee or make Smores in the evening with the kiddos without worrying about West Nile or yellow fever, or at the very least, the welts that don't go away for days. This product is worth it!

We have not been able to use this at all since we purchased it. We have charged it, reset it, put in new cartridge and nothing. The lights come on and circle for about 2 minutes and then go completely out. When we try to turn on, a red light comes on and then goes off. I was thinking about purchasing another one, but don’t want to waste any more money.

I have been using this quite often. The mosquito repeller is very convenient that it is rechargeable and no odor. I often sit outside in my truck with the windows down as I for my daughter to finish dance practice each week and when I started using it I didn't have worry about getting bit up again. It is also very easy to use! I keep mine in the truck and will purchase a few more for my patio, kids to take when they are going to be outside, and friends.

I have not been able to enjoy my porch and yard during summers. I just learned about Thermacell products and used my new E55 for the first time today. In 15 minutes the swarm of mosquitos disappeared. I stayed out over an hour without a single bite. It is like magic! It works exactly as you describe it! After use I capped the 12 hour cartridge and have enough left for a few more times on my porch, but before it runs out I’ll have one or more 40 hour refills. No mess, no smell, and when I came back inside there were no mosquitos by the door to enter my house! I wish I had know about this device before! And it is well made - well designed.
