I purchased this product for personal use. I also purchased the product as a gift. The product does not effectively repel mosquito's. It may have some benefit - but I can sit the device next to me on a table and mosquito's still find me and bite me. Disappointed in the product.

I bought this a few weeks ago, immediately charged it and then didn’t get a chance to use it. I grabbed it earlier this week and was disappointed to find the battery dead even though it hadn’t been turned on since charging it. I charged it again for 2 days. Took it outside tonight while enjoying a fire on my patio and with the thermacell sitting on the arm of my chair, I was swarmed by mosquitoes and got multiple bites. We have used Thermacell products since the company started and own multiple units. This rechargeable liquid solution is the worse item I have ever used. I would have been better to just light a citronella candle.

My husband can't do any deet or other chemicals to avoid mosquitoes and I stumbled across this last year and now they have updated to rechargeable units. These are amazing and they really do work! He can enjoy sitting outside anywhere! We have 2 and take them everywhere we may go to be outside.

I bought the thermacell without telling my husband because he wouldn’t believe it works. Sure enough, the moment the package arrived he started with his negative comments. As the sun began to set I turned it on and for the first time we stayed outside until almost midnight without turning on candles, a fire, or spraying ourselves. Not one mosquito bite. Now we take it with us whenever we’re invited to a cookout and people laugh at us until they start getting bitten and we’re sitting comfortably next to our thermacell. For that reason I’m buying another one and ditching the tiki torches and candles. It works. It works great. It allows us to use our back yard without smelling like a fire pit or bug spray.

I got this from Thermacell to try it out. I am happy with the results! We have a pool and a lot of mosquitoes. The set up was easy. I have used it for the last 2 days, and so far, I haven't seen one mosquito! They usually eat me alive! I'm excited to try this product at our lake place! I hope it's an answer for there, too. I feel positive it will be. The ease of set up is great. Charge time is good. Quick charge and seems to last a long time. Not sure how long the cartridge will last, though. I will be purchasing more.

As an active gold prospector, I get into some thick brush in the backwoods of Montana. I recently took the E55 with me to a creek side claim that is a favorite hangout for half of the world's mosquito population. Now one would think the free range cattle in the area are enough to keep the bloodsuckers full and happy, but nope, humans are apparently a special kind of treat. After about 20 minutes of the unit running I noticed there was a distinct 'safe zone' free of mosquitos. I believe the only bite I got was when I first arrived to the gold claim. The E55 unit exceeded all expectations. 2 thumbs up, and a high 5 to whomever designed it, it is now a permanent addition to my mining kit.

I was able to receive the product to try out, and I wish I had known about Thermacell mosquito repellent sooner than later! No more spraying and applying fragrant mosquito repellent on me and my children, we seem to be prone for mosquito bites unlike my husband. This is a simple of plug charge, insert the repellent and placing it wherever you hang out outdoors, with us that’s our backyard patio. No issues so far as it’s doing the work

I had never heard of the product until a friend of mine turned me on to it. I had no idea what to expect, but I love mostly that it's odorless!! I put it outside near the table where we were going to be eating and no bugs came near me at all! That's a miracle because I attract bugs everywhere I go. :-) I'm so grateful for an odorless, easy-to-use product that really does what it says! No more bites!

We bought two of these last year. One wouldn’t hold a charge, but was quickly replaced by Thermacell under warranty. Our place is deep in Minnesota’s north woods, and mosquitoes and black flies can be a nightmare. Using these, the number of biting insects are noticeably fewer. Are there zero bugs? Get real. No. But the situation is much better. And this is the only repeller that works on black flies. We put one next to our door to reduce the bugs that might follow us indoors. When camping, we move one to near the tent door a little while before entering for the night for the same reason. Thermacells work. Will some bugs get past it? Yes. Will they make things a lot more tolerable? Yes again.

I was already skeptical when I read the rave reviews about this products "new" technology. Previously I'd been using the Off mosquito lanterns with the candle and the repellant tab (which worked like a charm!) but after combing through the reviews I thought I'd give the Thermacell a shot. I've used it the last two nights on my small patio in the city (where the mosquitos aren't terrible to begin with compared to living outside town, but annoying). For the hype, I expected the odd mosquito to none at all (which is what I got with the Off lanterns). But I was constantly pestered by bugs, so these are definitely not as good as advertised! I am extremely disappointed with this product.
