The nugget ice is super soft and chewable—kind of like the ice you get at Sonic. It makes drinks way more fun, whether it’s iced coffee or just plain water. It starts making ice pretty fast, and the side tank is helpful so you’re not refilling water all the time. It does take up a bit of counter space, but it looks sleek and doesn’t feel bulky. It makes a little noise while running, but nothing too loud. You do need to clean it regularly, but it’s not hard—just takes a little time. If you love nugget ice, this is totally worth it. I use it every day and don’t see myself going back.

We have even been making our own version of a snow cone with the ice it produces. No more ice trays to fill. It fits nicely on my counter, It doesn't take up much space, looks sleek, and blends well with the countertop. My only complaint is that the outside tank hasn't worked since we set it up. Im happy for the inside tank. I just put a bottle of spring water in, and shortly, there's ice. The double tank is a great idea. It is also cool that the setup was easy.I love how when you use ice, it automatically begins replenishing as long as there is water in the tank. If contemplating on purchasing, contemplate no more.get it ,you will not be disappointed

I was so happy to get my FIRST! Machine. It worked a while and I loved it. When it stopped no one could fix it. So I ordered another one! I knew it was going to be okay. But it lasted less time than the first one. I tried everything they recommended and finally had to give up hope. It still sits in my kitchen. I have a lot of money invested in 2 machines. I finally found another brand that is working great! Sorry about bad news. I so wanted to have the Opal. So I am sorry to say it is a waste of money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This nugget ice maker is fantastic! I was worried that it would be way too big when I saw the box, but it was just packaged well. Once out of the box, it was easy to set up. Do measure the height of your counter space if you plan on keeping it below a cabinet, as my cabinets are about a 1/2 inch too short. However, with some rearranging, we were able to place it elsewhere. This has a large capacity and would be great for a large family or someone who entertains often. It’s nice to have “the good ice” on hand!

It also recycles melted ice back into the bottom where it continues to make fresh ice. Only drawback is it larger than I expected. Otherwise it is an awesome kitchen machine!

Omg I LOVE this ice machine!! I bought it a few years ago and it’s still running strong! It makes my favorite kind of ice cubes that I’ve only been able to get while in the hospital!!! I had been looking for a home size machine for years before I finally found it. I 100% recommend it!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cleaning cycle works well. Unfortunately it is quite loud, but you can turn it off whenever you need to. The nugget ice is really nice and works well for drinks. The machine is extremely large especially with the water tank add on and takes up a lot of counter space, but is a nice addition to the kitchen if you like nugget ice! So far we have not had any build up in the machine, and we have moderately hard water.
