GE Profile Opal Nugget Ice Maker + Side Tank

I am so excited for the soft ice in this unit.  I love the extra reservoir.  It was so easy to set up and clean.

Just got this ice maker and I really like it I'm familiar with it because my son has had one for a couple of years.

Ice maker was very easy to set up.  Only downfall that I have seen so far is that I am unable to turn off the light in the ice bin

After cleaning this weekly, with bleach and vinegar per instructions, the inside house is moldy. It’s disgusting!  I use filtered water too!

Moldy - open the top and you will find mold

Extremely easy setup. Very quiet machine. Ice in less than 5 minutes! Very happy camper!

I was very excited when I saw a nugget ice machine at my local Sam's Club. However just 2 short weeks after purchasing, the machine started making a loud screeching noise and stopped making ice. Fortunately Sam's Club has a great return policy. But I would not recommend this machine to anyone. Very poor quality.

DO NOT BUY

This icemaker works exactly as it should.  It starts producing pellets within a few minutes.  It will fill the bin with wonderful soft pellets in a little over an hour.  The added side tank, makes it a breeze to fill.  We fill the tank every other day.  With the tank, you never have to check the water level inside the icemaker.  We run ours on a smart outlet.  We turn it on at 7:00AM and off at 7:00PM.  Overnight the ice mostly melts and it all goes into the internal reservoir It is fast and reasonably quiet.  All you hear is a faint hum and the ice pellets dropping.  We've tried several, and this one is the clear winner.
