I was given a free sample for my honest opinion. The strawberry cake was creamy and delicious. The layers were soft, moist, and had a nice strawberry flavor that came through in every bite. Letting it sit at room temperature made the buttercream extra smooth and creamy, which really elevated the texture. The strawberry topping added a bright, fruity finish that tied everything together. Overall, it was a sweet, flavorful, and enjoyable cake.

This was very heavy and dense, but the cake wasn't moist at all. Overall, all I thought about it was "Now I know why I pay $50 for cakes from a well regarded bakery." I had one piece just to try it and gave the rest to my next door neighbors. I wouldn't buy it again. I'd actually rather have a smaller cake for the same price with better ingredients. If this is buttercream frosting with real butter, it sure doesn't compare to what I get from a real bakery. Not even close.

The cake was dry and crumbled when I cut into the cake. That was weird. The icing is ok. No real strawberries in this cake. It's strawberry flavored cake and icing. There is a smear of strawberry jam in top. It was too sweet for my family of 5. Three 10-12 year olds didn't even like it. I wouldn't eat this ever again and I'm mad that I feel like I wasted my money.

I was given a free sample for my honest review. For what this cake is it's very tasty! It smells delicious and a lot like strawberry, the strawberry gel on top is what makes this cake so good. It's beautiful and I could see it being a lovely center piece to a celebration. It does not have fresh strawberries inside if that is a concern, it wasn't for me. I do agree that it I very sweet and a small slice is plenty but I would not be disappointed if I paid money for this cake!

I love the strawberry jam on top, but wish it was also between the 3 cake layers instead of frosting. The frosting was also tasty, but the cake had more frosting than I like. I would prefer the strawberry jelly on top to be closer to the edges and not have as much frosting decorations on top. Overall, it was a great dessert and I'd definitely buy it when feeding a crowd.

I had to try strawberry cake, I have to say, is good , for best testing you have to eat it at room temperature bc of the butter frosting, flavor is delicious, bread it's ok, you can make it more delicious adding chocolate covered strawberries (or fresh) some Ferrero Rocher chocolates( or your favs )

Very pretty cake but I agree with others, it was extremely too sweet and way too much icing. We actually became ill the two days that we ate it and that was enough for me to decide that the other half had to go. So disappointed that half the cost had to be thrown in the trash. Why are Sam's cakes so limited? Bring back the Italian Cream Cake or the Coconut Cake. Haven't seen those in many months.

Got this for Mother's Day weekend on curbside and they gave me a 4.5 day old cake and it tasted old. I hate that they always give old bakery and deli items in curbside. Who wants things basically expired. Didn't want to drive back to return but gosh dang, make a comment section so we can say don't give us 3 day old bakery and deli fresh items, crazy they gave this 8 days of expiration.

Cake was pretty but was so dry and the taste was not right.
