soft and gentle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really impressed with this toothbrush. It runs very quietly, which I appreciated, and it’s soft and gentle enough that my 5 year old boys could use it comfortably. They actually enjoyed brushing and said it tickled while still making their teeth feel really clean. Compared to other electric toothbrushes I’ve tried, I like that this one has fewer spots where mold could hide, which makes it feel much more hygienic. Overall, a great choice for both kids and parents. I received this toothbrush from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Great electronic toothbrush for teeth sensitivity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Sonicare toothbrush is a sleek, easy to use, and gentle toothbrush. For someone with sensitive teeth, this toothbrush is brilliant and helpful to help get my teeth super clean without causing pain or discomfort. You can notice after a few days that your teeth are more clean than using a manual toothbrush. It gives you a nice clean feel similar to leaving the dentist office. I found the multiple modes to be beneficial since my teeth sensitivity varies. Also I love that it's rechargeable. My husband has a different brand of electric toothbrush, and this one is much quieter than his (bonus!). Overall, a great electronic toothbrush that leaves your mouth clean and fresh. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this toothbrush.

Bye bye plaque

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My overall impression of this toothbrush was that it was sleek and straightforward to use. I was excited to use it. I liked the style of this toothbrush because it fit in on my counter without looking out of place and was nice and compact. My teeth and gums felt wonderful after brushing. It left my mouth fresh and clean. It was very gentle and brushed all my plaque away. It buzzed when I pressed to hard and when it was time to change spots. However when switching from top to bottom I felt I needed to turn the brush off otherwise toothpaste sprinkled out of my mouth. This brush was smaller than I was used to. I would ahve given it 5 stars but the brush head was a bit small and also I would have loved a tongue brush on thr back. My other brushes always have that and the brush head wasnt able to brush my tongue. Although I do understand thats not the function of this tooth brush it would have been nice. What I liked most about this toothbrush was that it really scrubbed away at thr plaque near my gumline. I didnt have to floss so much. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this toothbrush.

I wanted to love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a fairly recent convert to the electric toothbrush trend, but at the recommendation of my dentist have been using a rechargeable toothbrush for about 18 months. I’ve been curious about the Philips Sonicare 6000 Rechargeable Toothbrush, since it seems slightly more streamlined than my current brand, and was excited to test one after receiving it as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. First of all, the packaging of the Sonicare 6000 is definitely superior to other brands. Everything came neatly packaged and individually wrapped, which prevented cardboard dust (and honestly who knows what else) from accumulating on the toothbrush handle during shipment. The 6000 arrived with one toothbrush head and a charging base, plus a helpful instruction manual, and came fully charged! Always a nice bonus when you’re excited to try a new product for the first time. The Sonicare 6000 is easy to use and ergonomically designed. It features various bells and whistles, like a sensitivity light that tells you when you’re pressing too hard, and several “modes” of cleaning to accommodate for sensitive teeth and gums. The toothbrush head itself is quite small in comparison to other brands, and it is surprisingly easy to reach all my back teeth! I appreciated that the toothbrush bristles are very soft and specifically designated “gentle,” as I intentionally seek out softer bristles to avoid damaging my enamel. As far as ease of use, the toothbrush does well; the head pops on and off easily, so cleaning is quite efficient. Charging seems simple (I charge mine overnight when needed) and I haven’t had any issues with short battery life so far. In terms of cleaning, I think the Sonicare 6000 is a step up from a manual toothbrush, but not as effective as other brands currently on the market. I personally think an oscillating brush that manually moves the bristles against your teeth and gums is going to clean plaque more effectively than a toothbrush that only vibrates—even if it also redirects water between your teeth, as the Sonicare claims to (PS: you can’t have this toothbrush on and not in your mouth—water and toothpaste will go EVERYwhere). I didn’t find that I had a particularly “clean” feel in my mouth after using the Sonicare 6000. In fact, it felt much like using a manual toothbrush to me. I really wanted to like this product, particularly since it does such a great job of getting to hard-to-reach teeth. I think that if you’re accustomed to using a manual toothbrush, the Sonicare 6000 is going to feel like a spa trip! But if you currently or formerly use an oscillating brush, this one might be a bit of a disappointment.

A gamechanger for my dental health routine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having been a life-long manual tooth brusher, I was interested seeing what the electric toothbrush hype was all about. After about a minute of reviewing the instructions included with the Sonicare 6000, the brushing process seemed fairly straight forward. There was definitely a learning curve the first time or two while I adapted my technique, but after that I was hooked. The built-in timer initially seemed like a gimmick to me, but after a couple uses became a great way to track how thoroughly I was brushing my teeth, ensuring I was giving equal time and effort to each section of my mouth. The adjustable power options have been great as well; I had to start on the lowest power setting while I adapted from my manual brushing habits, but by day three of using the toothbrush I was up to full power, with my teeth feeling as clean as they ever have. I really enjoyed how the toothbrush alerts you when you are applying too much pressure as well, as that was something I was prone to doing at first. Letting the brush do the majority of the work took some adapting for me, but has been a welcome change since the brush does much better than I ever could. The design of the brush is very comfortable, and the charging base is well thought out as well. It's hard to think of any improvements that can be made in the shape and feel of this device. I would have liked to have seen a wall charger included for "permanent" docking, but that is a very minor complaint as most people have many on hand already. The small brush head allows excellent access into the difficult to reach areas in my mouth, and the spaces between my teeth in particular feel much more clean than with a conventional tooth brush. I have battled sensitive gums fairly consistently, and that has been greatly improved since switching to this toothbrush. Overall, I am very impressed with the Philips Sonicare 6000 Rechargeable Toothbrush, and I cannot recommend it enough for someone looking to take their dental care routine to the next level. I received the product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, but was blown away by the performance it offered when compared to conventional brushing. This will be my go-to toothbrush for the foreseeable future!

Great toothbrush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this toothbrush as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I really like Philips Sonicare 6000, from the look and design of it to the ease of use. It is a nice simple design that looks really good! It is very easy to use and I love how it has 3 different power levels to choose from so you can find the one that works best for you. It felt great cleaning my teeth, and my mouth felt fresh and clean after. It feels like it achieves a level of clean that I did not get with my regular toothbrush. It is also very easy to switch out the toothbrush head when it needs to be replaced. The timer feature is also really nice, as it notifies me every 20 seconds so I know when to switch to brush different parts of my mouth.

Very nice features take this brush up a notch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used other electric toothbrushes for many years but have never had the money to try a proper Sonicare until I was selected to receive the Philips Sonicare 6000 to review through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was not required to make any particular statements and am providing my honest thoughts here. I appreciated the more eco-friendly packaging, which favored waxed paper and cardboard over plastic but still felt premium. The manual was helpful, although the brush was intuitive to use and didn't require much explaining. I have sensitive gums, so I appreciated the sensitive mode and the adjustable intensity. The electric toothbrush I've been using is several years old and is getting a bit rattly, so the smooth micropulsations of the Sonicare were a pleasant change. I also really liked the feature that slightly changed the vibration to let you know to move to a new section of your mouth every 20 seconds. I don't have a great sense of time, and counting "one-mississippi-two-mississippi" with a toothbrush in your mouth can get messy, so this timer feature is definitely the most useful aspect of the brush for me! My teeth felt slick and smooth after brushing, and my sensitive gums were not irritated at all -- likely also due to the pressure sensor that turns purple if you press too hard, another feature I appreciated. Overall, I'm quite pleased and would recommend a Sonicare brush, although if I were spending my own money, I might pay extra for some of the additional features of the higher Sonicare series, like linking with your smartphone to monitor your brushing techniques. The general lack of multiple fancy features is my reason for 4 stars instead of 5. However, this brush is a very nice entry point into the Sonicare family, and I won't be going back to my old tooth-rattler!

Best Electronic Toothbrush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this toothbrush from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have been using the Philips Sonicare 6000 Rechargeable Toothbrush for about a week and I will never go back to a manual toothbrush. This electronic toothbrush is sleek and comfortable to use. It has 4 different levels of intensity including a sensitive mode. The battery is rechargeable and lasts a very long time. I have not had to recharge it yet. It also has a sensor to alert you if you are brushing too hard. My favorite feature is the built in timer. The directions instruct the user to brush in 6 sections. The toothbrush beeps when it is time to move to the next section. After 2 minutes, the toothbrush will turn off automatically. When I am done brushing my teeth, they feel as clean as when I leave the dentists' office. I would like to note that for people with gum disease or extremely sensitive gums, they may find the intensity too much. My husband felt that the sensitive setting was closer to the low setting on previous models he has used.

Really awesome Room for improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First impression I got on this toothbrush that was part of Stellar’s Product Testing Panel, I really love how sleek and easy the brush is to use and it feels very futuristic. It’s disappointing that there was no block to be able to charge the toothbrush, it gives you a cord with a regular USB connection. With everything moving to USB Type C connections, I had to go out and buy a regular USB block because all I had were Type C blocks. I also would have loved a quick start guide for the toothbrush because there are a lot of indicators you need to be aware of. For example, if you use too much pressure the toothbrush will give you vibrations and visual feedback. When I first used it that startled me and I wasn’t sure why it was doing that. Now I know and love that it alerts me when I am using too much pressure. I also would have loved some sort of direction to the app, the current QR code goes to the toothbrush website but not directly to download the app. In general the app was easy to sync to the toothbrush and use. I’m excited to continue using the toothbrush and interested in the different settings. I would love some more info on when to use the different settings. I really like the black design of the toothbrush, but I would love a toothbrush head that matched the black OR bright vibrant colors to rotate. Right now the white feels like it doesn’t match the toothbrush. Lastly the carrying case is a nice touch, a little bulky but the protection is appreciated, that paired with the brush head protector, it feels like my toothbrush will stay clean even when traveling.

Fresh and clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using this brush left my mouth fresh and clean. Love that the toothbrush isn’t heavy compared to other brands. Love the sensitivity of the brush head, it was really soft. My gums are super sensitive and this brush was more gentle than my manual toothbrush. Overall I love everything about it. The feel, the way it leaves your mouth fresh and clean after brushing with it it feels like getting out of the dentist. I received this product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Also I got 8 extra brush heads with the product. Totally in love and will totally recommend it to everyone I know.
