Very nice features take this brush up a notch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used other electric toothbrushes for many years but have never had the money to try a proper Sonicare until I was selected to receive the Philips Sonicare 6000 to review through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was not required to make any particular statements and am providing my honest thoughts here. I appreciated the more eco-friendly packaging, which favored waxed paper and cardboard over plastic but still felt premium. The manual was helpful, although the brush was intuitive to use and didn't require much explaining. I have sensitive gums, so I appreciated the sensitive mode and the adjustable intensity. The electric toothbrush I've been using is several years old and is getting a bit rattly, so the smooth micropulsations of the Sonicare were a pleasant change. I also really liked the feature that slightly changed the vibration to let you know to move to a new section of your mouth every 20 seconds. I don't have a great sense of time, and counting "one-mississippi-two-mississippi" with a toothbrush in your mouth can get messy, so this timer feature is definitely the most useful aspect of the brush for me! My teeth felt slick and smooth after brushing, and my sensitive gums were not irritated at all -- likely also due to the pressure sensor that turns purple if you press too hard, another feature I appreciated. Overall, I'm quite pleased and would recommend a Sonicare brush, although if I were spending my own money, I might pay extra for some of the additional features of the higher Sonicare series, like linking with your smartphone to monitor your brushing techniques. The general lack of multiple fancy features is my reason for 4 stars instead of 5. However, this brush is a very nice entry point into the Sonicare family, and I won't be going back to my old tooth-rattler!

Fresh and clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using this brush left my mouth fresh and clean. Love that the toothbrush isn’t heavy compared to other brands. Love the sensitivity of the brush head, it was really soft. My gums are super sensitive and this brush was more gentle than my manual toothbrush. Overall I love everything about it. The feel, the way it leaves your mouth fresh and clean after brushing with it it feels like getting out of the dentist. I received this product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Also I got 8 extra brush heads with the product. Totally in love and will totally recommend it to everyone I know.

Smart Toothbrush Makes Brushing a Breeze

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a bit leery of a smart toothbrush, but there are a few specific features that drew me to the Philips Sonicare 6400 - first, that it would alert me if I was brushing too hard via a nifty light at the base of the brush, and second, that it would tell me when it was time to change the brush head. While I haven’t had the toothbrush long enough to use the second feature, I’ve already noticed a difference in my brushing technique from the real time feedback that this brush provides! My teeth feel cleaner, especially when I use the “whitening” mode that it offers (an extra 30 seconds of cleaning, meant to target the front section of your mouth), although the basic cleaning mode does a great job too and my mouth feels fresh when I’m done. I love that the brush provides a vibration alert/timer to move on to the next section of my mouth as I am brushing, and really appreciate that it’s meant to cover 6 sections of your mouth. It really helps compared to a manual brush and timer. Love the fact that it’s rechargeable and that it comes with a carrying case that can store two brush heads - it would be even better if the toothbrush could charge in the case, but I think that’s available in a different version. My one complaint about the case is that you have to make sure the brush is totally dry - I used it at work and then stuck the case in my purse without drying it thoroughly and a bit of water leaked out. Not a dealbreaker by any means - especially when it means that I am brushing after lunch! I also wish that the charger came with the wall plug; it’s a USB cable, so I just used a plug that I had from an old phone. Aesthetically, the black handle is pretty great. Very modern and clean looking. The black handle and case make it extra cool to use as a brush on the go. I received the Philips Sonicare 6400 Rechargeable Toothbrush from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

A gamechanger for my dental health routine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having been a life-long manual tooth brusher, I was interested seeing what the electric toothbrush hype was all about. After about a minute of reviewing the instructions included with the Sonicare 6000, the brushing process seemed fairly straight forward. There was definitely a learning curve the first time or two while I adapted my technique, but after that I was hooked. The built-in timer initially seemed like a gimmick to me, but after a couple uses became a great way to track how thoroughly I was brushing my teeth, ensuring I was giving equal time and effort to each section of my mouth. The adjustable power options have been great as well; I had to start on the lowest power setting while I adapted from my manual brushing habits, but by day three of using the toothbrush I was up to full power, with my teeth feeling as clean as they ever have. I really enjoyed how the toothbrush alerts you when you are applying too much pressure as well, as that was something I was prone to doing at first. Letting the brush do the majority of the work took some adapting for me, but has been a welcome change since the brush does much better than I ever could. The design of the brush is very comfortable, and the charging base is well thought out as well. It's hard to think of any improvements that can be made in the shape and feel of this device. I would have liked to have seen a wall charger included for "permanent" docking, but that is a very minor complaint as most people have many on hand already. The small brush head allows excellent access into the difficult to reach areas in my mouth, and the spaces between my teeth in particular feel much more clean than with a conventional tooth brush. I have battled sensitive gums fairly consistently, and that has been greatly improved since switching to this toothbrush. Overall, I am very impressed with the Philips Sonicare 6000 Rechargeable Toothbrush, and I cannot recommend it enough for someone looking to take their dental care routine to the next level. I received the product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, but was blown away by the performance it offered when compared to conventional brushing. This will be my go-to toothbrush for the foreseeable future!

Good First Electric Toothbrush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first ever electric toothbrush, and I have been really liking it. I did review the user guide before using it, since I was uncertain about the settings and what the best practice is for using it. With it being my first one, seeing the mouth diagram in the manual and then having the mouth section timer has been great! The unique buzz for moving to another part of my mouth is really clear, and I was able to find a rhythm with it quite quickly - this is definitely my favorite part of the brush. The thing I'm still learning is not turning the brush on when it's not in the mouth otherwise it will fling all the brush ick all over. I was surprised by how small the brush area is on the head compared to a regular toothbrush, but after a few uses, it's clear that it does the job. The first time I used it, it feel like my teeth looked noticeably cleaner. After a few more uses, I'm not sure that was the toothbrush, but my teeth do feel noticeably cleaner with this electric brush than with my normal toothbrush. After our first week together, I went on weekend trip without this brush and was really disappointed to not have it. Overall, the look of the toothbrush is quite sleek, and the feel in hand is comfortable. The buttons are easy to use. The main challenge I have is storage. I don't have a great spot for it in my bathroom, so I need to remove the head every time I store it. Hopefully this doesn't cause an issue over time. I also have to put it in a weird place to charge, because of limited space, but since I hopefully won't have to charge it very often, that's not a big deal. I also wish it would come with the wall plug, not just a cord. Too many products are doing away with this and if no one gives you any, then what...I don't want to have to buy a wall adapter. I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Power brush for a power smile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Philips Sonicare 6000 Rechargeable Toothbrush courtesy of Stellar Product Testing Panel. As someone with extremely limited experience with an electric toothbrush I wasn’t sure what to expect. Thankfully the Philips Sonicare 6000 Rechargeable Toothbrush directions are very easy and clear. The only assembly required is the toothbrush head that easily clicks into place. It comes with a charging station that is compact enough to fit on my small vanity. I fully charged the toothbrush 3 days ago and have not had to recharge it since. Along with these perks the toothbrush itself does a pretty thorough cleaning and my teeth feel very smooth and clean after brushing. I appreciate the sensitive setting for my thin enamel teeth. It is taking some adjustment to not manually brush my teeth but to simply hold the toothbrush in place for a few seconds on each tooth as stated in the directions. This really is all that is needed for a complete cleaning except for an area next to a crooked canine tooth that I do need to give a little extra attention to. For all other teeth I follow the 20 second time signal to move to the next section of my mouth. I did only give 4 stars because even though it is really great it is not the ultimate perfect product. The design of the toothbrush is attractive as it is clean and sleek looking. However, it is so sleek that it becomes slippery in my hand causing me to frequently readjust my grip; I do wish it had a rubber hand gripping area. Another bothersome aspect is that if the toothbrush is on but not in my mouth (ex. Pulling it out to speak to my child) it sprays toothpaste everywhere. I realize this is something I need to be more conscientious of on my end but until I get better at it I foresee lots of mirror cleaning and shirt changes. The only other thing that bothers me is the angle I use when brushing my back molars rattles the top of the toothbrush against my top molars causing the purple pressure light to activate. I do a follow up with a manual toothbrush once a day to make sure I can get the way back completely clean. Overall I do like the Philips Sonicare 6000 Rechargeable Toothbrush and hopefully after more time and practice I will master it completely!

A consistent clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m so impressed with this toothbrush! My overall impression is that it feels like a professional clean every time I use it, but still manages to be super gentle on my teeth and gums. I love the sleek, modern design—it looks great sitting on my counter and feels high-quality in my hand. After brushing, my teeth looked noticeably brighter and felt so smooth, almost like I had just left the dentist’s office. My whole mouth felt fresh and clean, which is something I don’t always get from a manual toothbrush. The pressure sensor is one of my favorite features—it gives me peace of mind knowing I’m not brushing too hard. I am currently pregnant so finding a toothbrush that accurately cleaned my teeth while also being gentle on my gums felt like a win! I also really appreciate the different speed settings, which let me customize my brushing depending on whether I want a deep clean or something more gentle. Compared to a manual toothbrush, this is a total game-changer. Brushing feels effortless, more effective, and even kind of fun. What I liked most is how gentle yet powerful it is—it makes me actually look forward to brushing! Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to review this product!

Really awesome Room for improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First impression I got on this toothbrush that was part of Stellar’s Product Testing Panel, I really love how sleek and easy the brush is to use and it feels very futuristic. It’s disappointing that there was no block to be able to charge the toothbrush, it gives you a cord with a regular USB connection. With everything moving to USB Type C connections, I had to go out and buy a regular USB block because all I had were Type C blocks. I also would have loved a quick start guide for the toothbrush because there are a lot of indicators you need to be aware of. For example, if you use too much pressure the toothbrush will give you vibrations and visual feedback. When I first used it that startled me and I wasn’t sure why it was doing that. Now I know and love that it alerts me when I am using too much pressure. I also would have loved some sort of direction to the app, the current QR code goes to the toothbrush website but not directly to download the app. In general the app was easy to sync to the toothbrush and use. I’m excited to continue using the toothbrush and interested in the different settings. I would love some more info on when to use the different settings. I really like the black design of the toothbrush, but I would love a toothbrush head that matched the black OR bright vibrant colors to rotate. Right now the white feels like it doesn’t match the toothbrush. Lastly the carrying case is a nice touch, a little bulky but the protection is appreciated, that paired with the brush head protector, it feels like my toothbrush will stay clean even when traveling.

Cleaner teeth with less effort

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this toothbrush to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My overall impression is very positive. The toothbrush has a sleek, modern design that looks nice sitting out on my bathroom counter. It feels well made and high quality, without being heavy or hard on my wrist. After brushing, my teeth felt very smooth, almost like I had just been to the dentist. My whole mouth felt fresh and clean. Compared to a manual toothbrush, this one is much more powerful and does a deeper clean with less effort. This is impressive because it is still gentle on my sensitive gums. What I liked most about this toothbrush is the ease of use. I would highly recommend it.

Sleek Clean Toothbrush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Philips Sonicare 6400 Rechargeable Toothbrush through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I was genuinely excited to give it a try—especially since it had been quite a while since I last used an electric toothbrush. Right out of the box, I was impressed by the sleek, modern design and the matte black finish. The button layout is clean and intuitive, and the charging process was simple. The charger itself is compact and doesn’t take up much space, which is a plus. I also appreciated that a full charge lasts a long time. Using the toothbrush took a little getting used to—the vibrating head felt different at first, but I adjusted quickly. I mostly used the whitening mode, which I found effective. The built-in timer is a great feature, though I wish there were a pause button for moments when you need to stop mid-brush without resetting the timer. While the toothbrush performs well, I found the handle could benefit from more ergonomic features. A grippier material around the base would help, as I occasionally felt like I might drop it. It’s also slightly bottom-heavy, which adds to that sensation. The brush head itself is quite small—I personally would prefer a slightly larger size for better coverage. I did try the companion app, but didn’t find it essential. Since I already follow a consistent dental hygiene routine, I didn’t feel the need to track my brushing habits digitally. My teeth felt noticeably clean after each use, which is the most important part. However, I wish the brush offered better tongue-cleaning features. The bristles were a bit too soft to feel effective in that area. I really like this toothbrush. It delivers a thorough clean and has some great features, but I’d love to see improvements in the handle design and tongue-cleaning capabilities.
