The cooker is incredibly easy to use, with intuitive controls and multiple cooking settings. I’ve only cooked white long rice for my lunch and the result has been excellent, with perfectly cooked rice, can’t wait to try all options and experiment with other grains as well. The cooker's capacity is generous, and the included steamer basket is a thoughtful touch. The design is sleek and modern, and the build quality is solid. While the price may be slightly higher than some other options, I believe the KitchenAid Grain Rice Cooker is well worth the investment. If you're in the market for a reliable and versatile grain rice cooker, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This may be good for families cooking a large volume of rice or grains at one time, but for just a couple servings it’s not really worth it. Takes a long time to cook and came out dry even with adjusting the settings. I do like that the bowl is dishwasher safe which makes cleaning a breeze.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this rice cooker! Yes, yes, I know it cooks other grains too, but rice is mostly what we cook in it. Sometimes it can be tricky to get rice to come out perfect on the stovetop, not too dry and not too moist—and then what happens when you want different textures or there is a delay in the rest of the food and it has to sit for a while? This grain cooker solves both of these problems and its stay warm feature can keep it the perfect temp and texture for even hours. The start time feature is also very helpful by setting things up to be cooked, and can make meal prep a bit less stressful. The user interface is also good, making it easy to use. The only downside to this cooker is that, although it gives you an estimated total cook time, the time remaining isn’t displayed until it is almost done, so I always pay attention to the time I start it if I care to estimate when it will be done. But I would rather have perfect rice than knowing down to the minute when it will be done. All in all, a worthy investment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gadget is simply AWESOME!!!! I’ve done rice, beans and oatmeal. I did the texture on soft which is the perfect texture but we are at a higher elevation so I’m not sure if that mattered. I’m obsessed. The ease of use is great. You just add what you’re cooking then the machine does the rest, measuring out water. It’s nice because it doesn’t get hot on the outside so little kids won’t burn themselves. I’m so glad I get to use this from now on. I threw my old rice maker away :)

This rice and grain cooker was really easy to operate. The machine measures the weight of the grain as you pour it in and calculates the amount of water needed. You can also select different grains and the machine is programmed to use the right amount of water and cooking time for each one. I made jasmine rice and couscous. The rice seemed a little dry. I don't think the menu option for couscous is meant for pearl couscous because it came out chewy and undercooked. According to the manual it is possible to create custom cycles, so I will have to experiment with that. The biggest problem with this machine is that it would take up a lot of counter space and I have a small apartment. I am less likely to use it if I have to store it in the closet when I am not using it.

I’m still learning how to add ingredients and different seasonings but this is pretty straight forward and as easy as it can be. Just add seasoning to the rice and your done as far as adding broths to the rice or beans etc, I’m still playing with the amounts added but even at that you get a perfectly cooked rice every time. Add rice and seasonings, start machine and go about your business. It has features to keep your food warm and a timer delay to start for when you need your food to be done at a specific time, its a set it, forget it, won’t burn your food machine. It’s an awesome product with great features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first rice cooker I've ever used, and seeing as how easy and convenient it is, I can't imagine making rice on the stove again! We are vegetarian and eat a lot of beans and pulses, many of which I have to soak overnight or cook for extended periods of time. This cooker makes it so easy to do that, and is big enough to accommodate for the entire family! It's very smart and takes away the measuring and watching steps from me. I only wish that the pot part was stainless steel, as I have moved away from using non-stick.
