[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I read the manual, played around with it, and came to the conclusion that yes it is a big appliance (for a rice cooker anyway) BUT it is great. The digital screen will take you through the cleaning steps or cooking steps if you lose your manual. It comes with a recipes book too. This cooked my steel milled oats beautifully! I will say, it took some adjustments to get used to the cooking steps and how to override the scale. Other than a learning curve: it is perfect.

It effortlessly makes fluffy rice and great beans. I am tending to make more rice and beans now that I have it, and do believe that it will save me money over time. Whereas before I might be lazy and buy canned beans, or quick cooking rice, now I make them in my cooker. I love that I know exactly what's in them, and no extra sodium is a huge plus for me. You don't really have to measure as it weighs your ingredients then adds the perfect amount of water. I love it!

You don’t even need to measure the rice, it weighs it and then adds the correct amount of water on its own. It’s a breeze to use and the rice comes out perfectly. It also has settings for a variety of other grains and beans, I can’t wait to test it out more with different recipes.

I’ve had this for about 2 weeks now and absolutely love it! I’ve made white rice, brown rice, a rice blend (brown rice setting), and steel cut oats and they have turned out perfect each time. :) I really like how you can choose the texture that you want the grains or rice to be and that you have the option of selecting if they’re dry or pre-rinsed. Before purchasing, I had the greenpan grain and rice cooker as well as a zojirushi; this unit is leaps and bounds easier to use with much better results. I think my favorite feature is that it weighs the ingredients and measures/dispenses the appropriate amount of water based on the results of each step. If you love rice/grains as sides or meal prep - this is a game changer. If you’re on the fence, just get it! :) you’ll be so happy you did.

I rely on this because it uses as much water needed to cook your food. For sure, it’s a safe tool to use. Definitely will be using this on a daily basis, this will last a lifetime!

I love that it measures the accurate amount of water as this is always something I had difficulty keeping consistent with my previous rice maker. I also love that it can be used with various grains. It is very versatile, and an added bonus is how sleek it looks on the countertop!

I did the texture on soft which is the perfect texture but we are at a higher elevation so I’m not sure if that mattered. I’m obsessed. The ease of use is great. You just add what you’re cooking then the machine does the rest, measuring out water. It’s nice because it doesn’t get hot on the outside so little kids won’t burn themselves. I’m so glad I get to use this from now on. I threw my old rice maker away :)
