Wow I was blown away by all the features this rice cooker is equipped with..it also has a built in steamer which my kids are ecstatic about!! The fact that you don’t have to measure out the water is awesome!! It’s like the Keurig of rice cookers!! An awesome addition to my kitchen! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's so easy to use, and my brown rice came out so fluffy. You just fill up the water and put rice, beans, or grains. It figures out the weight to water ratio. On the digital screen, it shows you a progress bar, and after it's done, it goes into warming mode. Another cool feature is it has a steaming basket, which I wasn't expecting. It doesn't take too much space, as you can see. Overall, KitchenAid has put out a great product.

I love that it cooks perfect rice and quinoa every time. Before receiving this, I would either overcook or undercook rice consistently, but this turns out perfect every time. The capacity’s great, I can make a small or large amount. It’s also really easy to clean. I’m impressed with being able to also cook eggs and potatoes in it too. It’s a great appliance to have!

I got this product for Christmas. I have tried it every week since then (at least 7 times so far). I'm only trying to cook normal white rice. Every time it cooks, there is sticky water running all over the outside of the device, spilling onto the counter and running onto the floor. I'm only trying to cook 1 cup of rice and the manual says it has a capacity of up to 3.6 cups of dry rice. I can't even imagine what that might be like. I take it apart each time and clean all the parts, but no help.

It prompts you through the overview and then has options for the type of rice or grain you are cooking. I chose a full bag, and the machine measures how much in the bowl so that it knows the precise amount of water to dispense. When it is done, it will beep. The cooker automatically goes into warm mode. I let mine sit for 30 minutes to see if it truly keeps it warm. It did! I thoroughly enjoyed cooking with the quality brand and will enjoy many meals from it!

The only thing that would make better is if it came in the Hearth and Hand with Magnolia color! Haha But that’s neither here nor there. It’s perfect!!!
