Magical Grain and Rice Cooker. Magical!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Of all the kitchen gadgets and appliances I've purchased over the years, this little beauty is by far my favorite. It effortlessly makes fluffy rice and great beans. I am tending to make more rice and beans now that I have it, and do believe that it will save me money over time. Whereas before I might be lazy and buy canned beans, or quick cooking rice, now I make them in my cooker. I love that I know exactly what's in them, and no extra sodium is a huge plus for me. You don't really have to measure as it weighs your ingredients then adds the perfect amount of water. I love it!

Worked well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Smaller than I originally anticipated but I love that it’s not too bulky. I like that it looks sleek and not an eye sore on the counter. It’s good for different kinds of grains and it lets you choose the presets and level of doneness. It’s supposed to automatically measure the amount of water needed so it takes the guesswork out of it. You just fill the side tank and the machine does the rest. It also comes with a steam dish! It worked well with rice but it did leave it a little mushier than I would like. Not a deal breaker though. I also attempted to add some fish fillets to cook with the rice and those cooked well too. The machine weighs the food and figures out how much water it’ll need and how long it’ll take to cook. There’s a timer which is convenient and a “keep heated” option after your food is done cooking. Mine showed to keep warm for 4 hrs after done cooking. I’m not sure how to change that or if it’s just a default setting. The machine was easy to clean but kind of bothersome. You have to leave the lid open to make sure the moisture doesn’t stay trapped. But even the next day, there was still water trapped on the lid that I had to then go in with a napkin to dry. I imagine this would cause mold if you’re not wiping it down fully after each use. Another thing is that it didn’t come with a spoon to scoop up the rice. Every rice cooker I’ve bought has come with its own spoon since the bowl can be scratched if you use something to harsh. Seems like a cheap thing to not include. Overall, ok. I would recommend this particular item to anyone. I feel like there’s better options out there but maybe for someone who cooks beans or other types of grains, it could prove useful.

Pleasantly surprised and versatile device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I take my rice really seriously, and this rice cooker is definitely impressive. There is a scale under the pot to weigh the rice/grains/beans, so once the rice has been washed add it to the pot. The water should be filled so the machine can dispense water. You can choose how you like your rice cooked and you can steam your food! Honestly, I'm really impressed by kitchenaid, I've only used asian brand rice cookers and this can compete. My only issue is that I can't wash my rice jn the pot since it must have nothing in it for the machine to weigh the grain. Also I cant really Sautee in it. But overall I quite enjoy it.

Very unique rice cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very unique cooker that takes out the guesswork in how much water to use to make perfect rice. The machine has a touchscreen where you can select what type of grain you are cooking. I tried the preset function for rinsed jasmine rice and the rice came out great! The cooker measures the weight and adds the necessary amount of water. The included inner pot is non-stick and removable. I do wish it was made from stainless steel as the non-stick coating may wear over time. The cooker also comes with a steamer basket with a handle in the center; this is to allow the water to flow into the rice cooker as the water source comes from the center of the lid. I usually like to steam a side dish in a plate while cooking rice so this design does get in the way of that. Overall, it’s an impressive cooker and offers a unique function.

Easy to use, smart,safety

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know how I lived before without this little cook literally easy to use, versatile, I have cooked basmati rice and quinoa in it ,but I added a little more water than in the instructions, since there is not enough of what the program offers, I don’t like al dente👌🏻 If you are thinking about whether to take it or not, you should definitely take this baby

I love it and it works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it!! It is super easy to use and I don’t have to worry about over cooking the rice or burning it. I was finally able to make the perfect rice. I also steamed eggs in it. Cleaning up after the rice was super easy as I used the pre-wash function to set me up for a easy clean up. The only down side is the price. While I think it is worth it for the tech it is too expensive for me and definitely a luxury item.

Easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm Asian. Of course I know how to cook rice. This product makes it easy for ANYONE to make that perfect pot of rice. No more measuring out the exact ratio of rice to water (like dipping your finger to the distal phalange). The cooked rice is superior to my more expensive 'Premium' cooker. The rice in the Kitchenaid is fluffier and has a better texture. You can create custom cooking settings. Besides, it's easy to clean. The ceramic pot, in my opinion, is even easier to clean than the non-stick pot in my last rice cooker.

Have Your Oatmeal Ready and Waiting for You In AM

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Selected it for rice, hoping to make the sticky type rice I get at Chinese food restaurants, but haven’t even attempted it yet. Instead it is being used daily for steel cut oatmeal. It lets me cook to the thicker consistency that I like. I add bananas, berries and honey for a wonderful breakfast. Then comes clean up time - I thought ugh. But, it is super simple and clean up is a snap. Zero scrubbing involved. The same water tank that cooks the grains and rice is used. You just close back the lid and tell the touch screen to clean. It steam cleans the pan. A quick rinse and it looks spotless. I like to quickly wash with a bit of soap, but it probably doesn’t even need this as it looks very clean after rinsing. I had honestly thought this would be a countertop appliance which I would pull out when I needed it on occasion. Instead it has its own space on my limited countertop as it has become a daily staple for using. I can set it to tell it to cook to be ready (up to 24 hours ) when I wake up and it will cook the oatmeal and keep it warm. I look forward to trying the rice and even beans, but for now am loving the ease of cooking and cleaning for the steel cut oats.
