We’re only starting to learn how to take full advantage of it, but we just had the best steamed broccoli we’ve had in a long time, and oatmeal in the morning is a breeze! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mixed feelings about this device. Pro: It's very convenient for some uses, and a lot of thought has gone into creating it. Con: It doesn't handle grains very well, leaving a large mess even when cooking a minimal amount. Documentation is lacking. Convenience: I bought this because I did not want to be wedded to the stove when making rice, and the other features sounded appealing. I have a dog whose health is improved when I add rice (and pumpkin) to his diet. This means cooking rice every other day. I could have purchased a rice cooker, but the grain cooking aspect was attractive. This grain cooker is very helpful in that respect; I can set it and walk away while it cooks from start to finish. It's cooked both short grain and basmati with precision. Inconvenience: Unfortunately, the cooker boils over frequently when I cook oats -- cooked grain "mush" flows out the vents and all over the inside when cooking steel-cut oats, even less than one cup's worth -- the attached image shows a portion of the mess after I removed the cover plate to clean it. I'd like to open the "steam collector" when it fills with food, but I find that impossible, with no guide as to how to do it. Because I have the cooker, I've steamed broccoli for dinner, and it did that well. (Basically, it steams and you decide how long.) I have not tried cooking beans. I am concerned that this will boil over as well, but I should test it. I like the convenience, but I can only cook small amounts -- the minimum the device allows -- without a huge mess.

I love that it makes it so easy that you pour and press and walk away until you hear the music saying it’s ready. It has a very nice touch screen key pad to select the option of what items you are cooking (rice, oats, couscous, and much more) I will say that the rice was a bit over cooked however this may be a user error. I am going to keep using it and learning all of the benefits that come with it.

But, not with this! Makes perfect rice every time because it automatically dispenses the correct amount of water. The cooker is super quiet and easy to clean. Looking forward to cooking beans next for taco night!

I just made the best brown rice of my entire life. I am on weight loss journey. I have had so made fair attempts in make brown rice. It either is too mushy or uncooked. It was really frustrating me. Thing I found this online. It is the answer to my prayers. Best of all I don't have to measure anything. Took me 15 seconds to set up. I cant wait to try grains next!!!! You must purchase this now!

I echo the great reviews left by so many. i have had mine 2 months and i look forward to using it almost every day. it is fun to use. I’m making far healthier meals with a mix of grains and vegetables, and a cinch to clean one pot. Everything has turned out perfectly including black beans going from dried beans to cooked in 1.5 hrs. The warming feature is nice to keep food warm for a period after cooking. Not one complaint!!!

This rice and grain cooker was really easy to operate. The machine measures the weight of the grain as you pour it in and calculates the amount of water needed. You can also select different grains and the machine is programmed to use the right amount of water and cooking time for each one. I made jasmine rice and couscous. The rice seemed a little dry. I don't think the menu option for couscous is meant for pearl couscous because it came out chewy and undercooked. According to the manual it is possible to create custom cycles, so I will have to experiment with that. The biggest problem with this machine is that it would take up a lot of counter space and I have a small apartment. I am less likely to use it if I have to store it in the closet when I am not using it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t realize you needed a minimum amount for the rice.i was hoping to have a fresh two person serving every day, now I need to use way more than intended and refrigerate then reheat. Not what i planned. I also have the Jasmine rice come out hard, even after sitting for 10 min. after cooking. Trying to find the right custom setting to fix. Wish I wouldn’t have bought.
