Easy peasy Rice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to use this tonight to make rice. I love that it makes it so easy that you pour and press and walk away until you hear the music saying it’s ready. It has a very nice touch screen key pad to select the option of what items you are cooking (rice, oats, couscous, and much more) I will say that the rice was a bit over cooked however this may be a user error. I am going to keep using it and learning all of the benefits that come with it.

I want to love this baby!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to give this appliance a five star rating because I am a devoted kitchen aid consumer. You can set the delayed cook 2 hours prior not anything shorter than that? You can’t cook a medium size batch of anything because it will bowl over. When you have a pot of gumbo on the cooktop and you want rice to feed six it’s too much. No more than 10 or so ounces dry or you get the warning. It over cooks even steel cut oats. Regular oatmeal is totally overcooked no matter what the setting. It cooks wonder jasmine and basmati rice in a small batch. I’ve cooked dried beans, oatmeal, steel cut oats, dried limas, and wild rice, jasmine and brown rice. It’s terribly convenient and I love so many things about it. Perhaps a custom setting will be the trick to oatmeal and improve the dried bean cooking.

Easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm Asian. Of course I know how to cook rice. This product makes it easy for ANYONE to make that perfect pot of rice. No more measuring out the exact ratio of rice to water (like dipping your finger to the distal phalange). The cooked rice is superior to my more expensive 'Premium' cooker. The rice in the Kitchenaid is fluffier and has a better texture. You can create custom cooking settings. Besides, it's easy to clean. The ceramic pot, in my opinion, is even easier to clean than the non-stick pot in my last rice cooker.

Not too impressed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wish this product was a bit easier to use. The design is sleek, however the capacity is small. Enjoy the fact that it is easy to clean and store. It keeps the food warm for an extended period of time.

Amazing Rice Cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this rice cooker. It automatically measures the amount of rice I have, adds the perfect amount of water, and cooks it in under 30 minutes. It can make a pretty large capacity too so it's great for a whole family. It clean up easily after cooking and it is safe to use as well.

Great cooker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this cooker. So easy with many options for different types of rice, etc. The only problem I’ve had is if I don’t level the rice/grain. If not very level, the rice/grain sticking up does not get cooked well, but that’s because I did follow directions well enough. I wish the start later option was easier to figure out. If you could choose a time for the item to get done instead of calculating how many hours later to start it.

Worth it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Versatile, easy to use, and great for those who love to cook convenient and simple meals! I am the type of person who doesn’t like the idea of using multiple pots and pans and watching over my food like a hawk. I also have a huge family so cooking is always a hassle for me. The kitchen aid rice and grain cooker does most of the work for you which I love. Instructions are easy to follow: Select which type of rice/grain you are using on the digital touch screen, add it into the pot, the machine will weigh it for you on the scale and will dispense the correct amount of water. You should be all done in about 30 minutes. It provides excellent results. The design of this product is so sleek and modern which makes it even better.

My meal prep bestie!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so pleased with this multifunctional grain & rice cooker! As someone who practices a Mediterranean diet, the ability to cook a variety of beans and grains to a variety of textures (soft, firm, regular) is awesome. This is going to be my meal prep best friend. I just made some steel cut oats and they were absolutely perfectly done. The machine is touch screen, it walks you through each step, weighs your grains, adds the perfect amount of water, time varies for desired texture, and ends with a pleasant chime when your food is ready. There is a progress bar on the screen while your food is cooking. You have the ability to delay cooking or keep warm which is nice if you want to prep in the morning for dinner. There is also an included steam basket and the machine can function as a steamer for veggies while you cook your grains. I appreciate the aesthetics of this machine, it looks good on my counter and can easily be stored in a lower cabinet or pantry.

Great with Adjustment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works well, but we needed to make adjustment for basmati rice. It was coming out too firm and dry. We now add more water after the rice cooker adds its water. Rice is now coming out nice and fluffy.
