[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this grain & rice cooker but regret the purchase as its similar to an instant pot/multicooker but more expensive and with fewer features. Specifically, it doesn't have a "keep warm" that is cool enough to make homemade yogurt. For steaming, it works well but the steaming basket is verysmall and its faster to do the amount I need on the stovetop.

I shouldn’t have worried, because the design is not only innovative but incredibly user-friendly. It has delivered perfect rice every time. This is an incredible addition to my kitchen and makes preparing meals with rice so much easier. The instruction booklet that is included with the appliance is super helpful. I don’t eat a lot of grains, but I am certain it would cook them nicely as well based on my great experience with the rice. I have always had great experiences with the KitchenAid brand, and this rice cooker reinforces their reputation for quality kitchen appliances. Incredibly thankful I had the opportunity to try this product.

Not what i planned. I also have the Jasmine rice come out hard, even after sitting for 10 min. after cooking. Trying to find the right custom setting to fix. Wish I wouldn’t have bought.

Without soaking, the beans may not cook thoroughly, but once soaked the cooker handles them well. Overall, this rice/grain cooker is a fantastic and user friendly appliance, especially for those who like to set and leave when cooking and if you love perfectly cooked rice every time. The helpful alerts for overfilling and uneven grains make it a foolproof option.

I was amazed how the rice cooker measured the weight of the rice and then and fed the correct portion of water to make a perfect rice. The only downside to the cooker is it takes about an hour to cook, but my old rice cooker took at least 45 minutes. The KitchenAid has a visual timer and the old rice cooker did not. It is super easy to clean. Overall this rice cooker is expensive but well worth the price
