We have tried several brands and have yet to find the perfect model, but the CleanView Swivel Pet Upright Vacuum one comes very close. Pros: - The suction is excellent. I vacuumed with this just four days after our cleaners were here, and the amount of pet hair it picked up was truly impressive. It's a much deeper clean than most vacuums. - The attachments are great for cleaning furniture or getting in hard to reach places like under couches or cobwebs from ceilings. I can't wait to try it on our dusty ceiling fans. - There are multiple modes for different floor types, but the vacuum easily transitions from carpet to hardwood. - Assembly was pretty straightforward and the instructions were very clear. - The brush roll does not seem to get easily tangled with pet hair. This is a constant issue with other vacuums. I'm interested to see how it does over time, but on the first couple of uses it seemed to avoid hair tangles quite well. Cons: - It is fairly loud. Not more so than other similar vacuums, but I would prefer a quieter model. - It is quite heavy. Of course this is a trade off with suction power, but I would prefer a slightly lighter model. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this Bissell CleanView Swivel Pet Upright Vacuum to try by the Stellar Product Testing Panel. All opinions are my own. This vacuum was easy to assemble by myself in a matter of minutes without any tools. It's very lightweight and easy to steer, but the design feels cheap/low quality. The part that touches the floor is quite thick and doesn't fit under the edges of most of my furniture very well. I noticed that this vacuum leaves dog hair behind when I'm using it on my hard floors. I wish there was a headlight to illuminate the path in order to ensure you're getting all the hair before you move on to the next section. It does a better job on carpet than I expected and it's a lot quieter than my old vacuum. The canister is easy to empty and holds quite a bit, but I empty it completely after each use anyway, instead of waiting until it's full. I appreciate that the vacuum doesn't try to eat my rugs when I go over the edge of them, but I don't like that the brush roll keeps spinning when you're using the wand or tools. So far it hasn't been an issue, and I also haven't had any problems with hair wrapping around the brush roll. My biggest complaint is that the tools don't stay on their storage areas well and if you want to use the entire length of the hose/wand, you have to push down on a clip to remove it. These things are annoying, but not a deal breaker. I think this vacuum is a perfectly fine budget friendly option and I'm obsessed with the Turbo Eraser pet tool for removing dog hair from my furniture. The pet tool works so much better than any other I've ever tried.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great vacuum! It's a good size and works well on both hard floors and carpet. I have two toddlers, a dog, and a cat, so we know messes. This vacuum is efficient at cleaning up the floors and it's good at vacuuming right up to the walls and other edges around the house. The extension wand is handy and I do appreciate how easily the vacuum swivels. It's also super easy to empty out! I received this vacuum as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, but I actually had an older model of this vacuum before this so I can confirm that it holds up for several years!

When I first opened the box, the vacuum was easy to put together and ready to use. Before turning it on, I was expecting an average vacuum performance. It surprised me with its suction, maneuverability, and performance. It did a great job picking up pet hair from the carpet, switching to tile and picking up dirt, and was easy to move around furniture. I was overall very impressed!

While I have other Bissell products, I don't have a Bissell vacuum. I had one many years ago and didn't love it, so admittedly my expectations weren't very high. I have a toddler, a dog, and four cats, so we vacuum a lot. We need something that does a great job and can stand up to heavy use. When I took this out of the box, the first thing I noticed was that it was very light. That can be a pro or a con depending on your needs. For me, it's a con because I've found that if the vacuum doesn't have the weight to really press down on the rug, it's not going to get everything out of it. However, this one surprised me. There was definitely more dirt in the canister than there is in my other vacuum. We do have very low pile rugs and hard floors, and I don't think I could recommend it for a high pile rugs. Then there is the issue of heavy use. Honestly, I'm not sure how long this will last the way we use it. It's light because it's made of light plastic parts, and that tends to not lend itself to longevity. I've only had it for a week so I can't say for sure, but that's the feeling I get. If you don't have a lot of kids or pets and you don't have high pile rugs, I think this would be a great vacuum for you. If you do have those things but this is the price point you need, I think you'll be happy in the short term. I can't speak for the long term.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum arrived while we were out of town on an extended trip - so needless to say the house hadn't been vacuumed in quite some time (& we have two cats and medium sized dog - imagine all that fur!!!) so this was a perfect time to really test out the vacuum's capabilities. Cat and dog hair had accumulated pretty much everywhere including on the furniture and in the corners. This vacuum did the job! We have a mix of flooring types between our two levels (think wood on one level and thick carpet in another, plus rugs) and it easily navigated between settings to get the proper height and suck capacity. I especially loved the angle brush attachment that fits on the end of the angled extension wand - it made cleaning the crevices and steps so easy. Also the vacuum is deceptively light which helped on the stairs. The swivel head is so easy to maneuver around furniture even my 4 year old could easily use the vacuum. In fact, my little one has asked to use the vacuum every day since we opened it! I call that a win!! The only thing I wish is that it had a stronger auction to really get those stuck on hairs out of fabric on the first pass; however it did a much better job than my other vacuum - also a pet one. Thank you to Stellar Product Testing Panel I know have a dedicated and amazing upright vacuum that the whole family can use and I no longer have to schlepp one between the different levels!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off I have to say that this is a super lightweight vacuum for being an upright, which I love. The look and design is eye appealing and since I don't have a pantry or butlers closet even a hallway closet to store it I'm glad it is a smaller size than other comparable upright vacuums. The extension wand is great besides one slight issue and it definitely has suction power. The only downside for me with the suction wand is that it is the handle and when pulling the vacuum In a backward motion the extension wand kept coming out of its place without even pressing the button that is used to release it. It definitely cleaned the areas that are more of a struggle to get to with ease. The brush roll and swivel are really good at catching pet hair. The best part about the brush roll that I was originally anxious about was if the pet hair was going to get stuck and wrap around it causing it to loose suction, which it did not. It was very easy to clean around most of my furniture and I was even able to get the vacuum cleaner under the lip of my couch and chair and ottoman cleaning the loose pet hair and debris from under the couch that is visible to the eye when across the room. The tool variety was good I feel the angle brush that was given was perfect for me to get my door frames dusted and I have been using the small motor head attachment for my couch to clean the pet hair off of it at night and also used it on the cat tower to get some of the loose shedding off and it was quite literally night and day between the before and after. My overall impression is between a 4 and 5 star rating and the only reason it isn't a total five stars is due to the nature of the handle also being the extension wand and how it keeps popping out of place without having to press the release button. Other than that handle issue overall this vacuum is amazing for people who have pets, dogs and cats there is a noticeable difference in how well my floors feel after vacuuming them

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Y'all this vacuum is a blessing! I have three dogs and two cats (along with a toddler) so the battle with pet hair is a daily struggle. I loved that I could easily adjust the suction for varying carpet heights or simply bare floor. This vacuum picked up half a canister of hair and dirt after I had just used my other vacuum the day before. I was impressed. The vacuum itself is of average size, not too heavy and easy to maneuver especially with the swivel head. The included cleaning wand tools are very useful as well. My cat has Velcro hair that sticks to the back of my couch so I decided to try the mini brush roll tool. All I can say is wow! I haven't had it that clean since I brought it home. The crevice tool is really nice and easily converts from brush to just plastic all in the same piece. Overall, I am thrilled with this vacuum! It makes vacuuming so much easier now without having to put too much force on it. It swivels and picks up so much fur on what looked like a clean carpet. The attachments are great too. There's a rolling brush that helps to get fur off couches or tight spots. There's also a smaller attachment to get into corners. Simple to use, and it is strong at picking up dirt and pet hair. Great vacuum!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a full grown husky dog (not pictured) and live in the South so we have a full time need for a heavy duty vacuum and this has done the trick! It does a great job on our rugs (both thick and lighter rugs). The wand is also super helpful to get into the couch and the dog beds. The only set back for me on this vacuum is that it doesn't track well on our wood floors. It tends to slide laterally easily so maneuvering it tends to take a lot more control than other models I have used. If you have majority carpets and rugs though, this is a GREAT option!
