This was a replacement ice maker because the new on I bought was making a squeaking noise as soon as I plugged it in to make ice the replacement they sent me started making a knocking sound as so as I plugged it in then stopped making ice after one day

Nugget ice is addictive and this mighty machine provides an unlimited amount! Pros: - best ice ever - able to eat ice with invisalign - makes ice automatically when ice is removed - large water tank, just fill up once a day - cleaning isn't too bad - water tank can go on either side or if you don't use the plastic clip it can be placed behind the machine - light feature is nice for getting ice in the middle of the night Cons: - loud, BUT if kept in the kitchen or away from living room it's not that bad and you don't really notice if after awhile - there is a water tray to catch leaks when the door opens, it does great catching it, just annoying (note the machine doesn't leak, the door is built so when ice melts it's reused and leaves the ice tank... the water in the ice tank leaks when the door opens because the design needs to be tweaked...there are no cracks) - the ice scoop is perfect size, just wish there was a hook, so it doesn't have to sit on top or the water leak tray - price point is high, but if you are an ice person or working from home then it's worth the expense - I do wish for this price that some of these cons didn't exist, but I am happy with my investment I have not used the app, so I cannot comment on the wifi connection or app.

Everything from the unpacking instructions, to the set up and use was quick and easy. Fits great under our cabinets, is sleek and does not present as an eye sore appliance! Not super loud and the side reservoir ensure there is ice always made. If ice is a necessity in your home, you have to get one!

I am so happy that I finally treated my family with this little gem!!! We all LOVE our new ice maker. It makes ice so FAST! We love the smalls pieces it makes. I’m so glad that I finally made this purchase after taking so long to decide. I wished I would have purchased sooner!

I love everything about my ice maker! It’s easy to use and makes awesome ice! I love that I can use my phone app for it and set it for a schedule. It starts at 6am and stops at 6pm for my everyday use! Fits nicely on my counter and looks nice! It does make some noise while making ice which is expected but it’s not too loud. If I have the tv on I don’t even notice it. The extra water reservoir is nice so I don’t have to be constantly refill it. I would definitely recommend. While it is expensive I feel it’s worth it and would definitely buy again!

I would love to be compensated for my first machine. Didn’t even last two years and the motor quit. Always cleaned it. Always changed the filter. I bought another one because of how well it kept ice and how well it made ice. I bought the warranty this time. I just wish GE would make it right. It's quick and makes great ice. Everybody loves it. The only reason I dropped a star is because it makes a humming noise while operating. It's not overly loud but it is noticeable. Also, it does drip a little when you pull the ice bin out so I don't recommend putting it on something that could be damaged by water. Finally, it is pricier than other products that make the same type of ice...I wanted the ability to turn it on remotely though which is why I spent the extra.

I absolutely love this ice machine, makes perfect nugget ice within minutes. Easy to assemble, easy to clean, and is a stunning appliance on my counter. You cannot go wrong, I highly suggest the GE Opal Nugget Ice Maker.... Summer here I come a chillin'. Thank you for this great product.

By far the best nugget ice maker out there. My first one lasted just over a year. The second one only lasted 10 months. Hoping for longer appliance life on this one. I have tried other nugget ice makers. ice wasnt as soft as this one and they were much louder.

However upon being presented one for my birthday, I realized how insanely practical this fine little shiny machine of unbridled joy actually is.
