Works good. Goes through water fairly quickly. As much ice that we use, we have to fill up the side tank every couple of days. When scooping ice out of bin, there are water driplets that drop on the bottom tray which has to be wiped down. Overall, good ice maker!

The ice maker works fairly well. Occasionally, it will produced some ice similar to shaved ice, but produces perfect nuggets otherwise. The water basin is not the easiest to fill. The ice bin must be completely removed, and needs a plate or pan to rest to prevent water from the bottom getting on the counter, and to prevent contamination (water drains from bottom of bin back into basin). Bin area is poorly insulated, so ice continually melts and is remade. The is no refrigeration on the bin, unit only runs while making ice. When ice making starts, it pours water over the existing ice more a few minutes until the tubes freeze and start forming the nuggets. Cleaning is a little involved, but not terrible all things considered, especially if installed with a foot or so of a sink. Overall, it is a decent product, but for the price I would expect a little more than the basic design described above.

I love the ice, my husband loves it more than I do. Initially, it sounded like a dying cat, but that has mostly gone away. I'm hoping it was just a matter of breaking the machine in. I would love an option to purchase a warranty as I've heard these do break over time, I'm not sure how to do that since it was a gift. I would recommend this product if you love ice cold drinks, it's nicer to use than regular ice with soda because it causes a LOT less fizz.

So far this has been just wonderful. The installation instructions could stand to be expanded, at least for me. The type of ice it makes keeps my drinks colder and with a more true taste. I love the options I have as far as controlling it via the app. I love it to have a lower selling price, perhaps that will come as more ice makers hit the market.

This appliance is awesome! We replaced our rarely-used mixer with this countertop nugget ice machine that we literally use all day, every day. Everyone in our family likes to chew ice and this is a game changer. The texture and quality of the ice is perfect. It makes ice faster than I expected it to. The side tank capacity is large which means you have to refill it less often. I also like how this version is WiFi-enabled which allowed me to tie it in to my Google Home routines so the light goes off at night and comes back on in the morning. There are some other basic functions in the app that are useful. All in all, we love this thing and will be recommending to anyone who will listen!

Our Samsung refrigerator ice make has always been a pain since we bought it. Clogs up weekly . Complaining to my husband constantly, he bought me this for Christmas! I LOVE IT! the best ice for us ice lovers! Small and soft, perfect. we only use the fridge for ice water now.

We bought this based on reviews and how much ice it could make. We were drawn to the self clean feature and good overall looks of the unit. 1st off it has great ice and everyone who comes over loves it. It has some nice features such as the ability to set use times which is very convenient. The only downside to this unit is the squeaking noise that sounds like a dead donkey that it makes abut 3-4 times a day. Very annoying and embarrassing when people are over. It seems this is an issue with a lot of others as well. We have been using it for about 4 months and I think I would buy it again if the noise would go away for good. Love the ice hate the noise.

My original opal only lasted 2 years even though I took meticulous care. The pump gave out. I only wish it was easier and cost evlffective to repair them.....I hope this one does better! First impressions are great. More intuitive, great ice, and more aesthetically pleasing.

In our week of use since installing the Opal ice maker we've had nothing but praise for it. Scheduling the ice maker operation remotely, through the provided mobile phone app, was a breeze. Establishing a durable connection to our wifi network was also simple. The type of pellet ice created is absolutely the best and is significantly colder than expected. The size of the bin and speed of creation is entirely adequate for our small family, but for larger families and gatherings, the ice created may need to be moved to supplemental storage containers occasionally since the ice maker will automatically shut off when the integrated bin is full.
