Previously had same unit but suffered the effects of hard water. Tried 2 others that lasted half as long even with frequent descaling and ice was not the same quality and consistency.

I love love my opal 2.0 this is my second I bought the first one in 2017 and used the heck out of it ,when this model came out with the side tank I decided to get it and I love it . I can't live with out this ice .

Love the pellet ice that it produces, and it makes quite a bit in a timely manner. The pump can be loud at times when the machine calls for water. I would highly recommend purchasing the extended warranty if you decide to purchase this machine.

We loved our Opal 1, until it broke after 10 months. The warranty gave us a refurbished one that lasted 3 months and quit working. We bought an Opal 2 because we loved it up u til it broke down. If this one doesn’t last, we will never buy again.

The container that holds the ice leaks water whenever I open it to get ice out. It’s also much louder than I expected. And it seems like there may not be an airtight fit bc sometimes the ice is a little flaky, like it has freezer burn.

I love this ice machine way more than I thought I would! I use it every day! The ice is perfect for water, to make iced coffee, etc. Well worth the investment!

Love that the is ALWAYS available and FRESH. Some people underestimate fresh ice. No more trips to our local Buc-ee’s buying cups of ice to store for a couple days use. Absolutely one of our best purchases and time savers.

It fits perfect on counter and when on, continues to make ice. And fairly quickly. The ice is not the perfect nugget but it's perfect enough. I plan on taking this camping, but we also use it daily because our fridge ice maker keeps breaking.

It’s amazing, quick and makes perfectly chewy nugget ice. You hear the humming noice while it makes ice, but it’s not all the time and it’s not an issue for me.

This ice maker keeps us going. It continually makes ice when in use. My family loves having nugget ice in the house. We purchased it just in time for this hot summer.
