Have had this product about 4 months - use it almost every day - so far so good. It is not that noisy and the ice is perfect. I got the side water holder - definitely easier to keep it making ice. Love it! Have it programmed to start making ice every day at 4 AM so it ready for workout.

I bought it October 23, 2022. The appliance makes great ice and makes it rather quickly, but.... it's too noisy! I have to jamb a cloth between it and the wall to keep it from vibrating/resonating loudly enough that I want to turn it off. The side of the cabinet isn't stiff enough not to vibrate. On top of that, the light burned out and owner's manual says replacement of light bulbs not covered under the manufacturer's warranty!! On top of that, it will no longer follow an off/on schedule set up thru the app and app says machine needs to be descaled even though it's just been cleaned.

We got this as a present and can’t begin to imagine life without it. All our neighbors want our “fancy ice”. The included side tank is amazing. We’ve yet to outpace the ice maker with a hand full of people getting refills. The machine is quiet comparable to some others I’ve heard. Price tag beyond worth it.

Not only does this appliance look great, it works great as well. This makes the perfect ice to satisfy all your drinking needs. It's easy to use and install. Comes with an excellent user guide, which provides good clear instructions for everything. It's quite attractive with the clear plastic and brushed stainless steel, it fits right in with all my other appliances. It's much quieter than expected with just barely an audible hum during operation. This is a rather large (and heavy) ice maker but it fit perfectly fine underneath my cabinets. This unit is not refrigerated, so as ice collects into the bin it will slowly melt, however the water gets recycled back into the machine and will be reused to make more ice. My only complaint is how long it takes to complete an ice making cycle, it takes literally hours for it to fill the bin with ice. Not a big issue but you definitely need to plan ahead if you're going to need ice, however if you dump the ice into a bag occasionally and freeze it you'll always have ice on-hand.

This ice maker is easy to install, and the nuggets are so delicious!!! I've had other ice makers that have t lasted very long, and am hoping this one will continue to exceed my expectations! I've only had the machine for 2 mo tha and am hoping it will continue to impress and last a lot longer!

Love this ice maker- what a wonderful addition to my kitchen! Pros: amazzzzing ice, fits on counter top easily, LOVE the additional water tank, refills rather quickly, I like that it essentially recycles the water of older ice that wasn't used Cons: a little noisy- there is some vibration from the back of the unit that can be silenced with tapping it lightly- but it is a small frustration, ice closest to the bottom is harder- but that was expected of me- I like the softer chewy ice- so overnight sometimes the ice on top isn't as soft as I would like... not a complaint- just an observation

I love the ice but the maker requires a lot of work. You have to descale and clean out the lines at least 2 times a month. If not it will make the most awful sounds, it will leak. Thankfully, we have learned how to take it apart to do a deep clean after a year and I have to say it was needed. The lines were disgusting even with us cleaning it once a month. Now we have learned it needs to be cleaned more frequently. Other than that it makes the best ice and it's connected to my phone so I can do diagnostics and even set schedules.

My husband is a devoted ice-chewer, and we agreed to always buy a cheap version of an item before getting the creme de la creme so to speak. After our cheap ice maker broke we bit the bullet and purchased this item. Although it takes up far more counter space in an apartment than I'd like, it truly has become a staple in our home and it has actually encouraged us both to stay more hydrated throughout the day. I like that it doesn't have to be running all day everyday and I think the app is user friendly. The lighting is aesthetically pleasing and the machine is relatively quiet.

We had the 1st Build Opal ice maker for over 7 years. It started being a little finicky - ice not staying frozen. Everyone loved our ice machine so we instantly started looking to replace it. We were directed to the GE Opal 2.0. Set up this morning and already have a full tray of ice!! So excited for the side tank reservoir. We anticipate not having to fill with water every day!

First one didn’t made shaved ice not nugget, never could get it to connect to WiFi. Returned it to the store and pick a second machine, got nugget ice but for some reason it will not refill for the water tank, and still can’t get it to connect to wifi. Called customer service for help, didn’t get a call back
