The ice maker is nice and sturdy. I just installed it and it’s currently making ice. I thought I would produce ice a little faster. It’s been about 30 min and it’s made a small pile of ice. I can’t give it a five stars yet since I just started using it. But so far so good.

I LOVE this ice! After 3 back to back surgeries last year I developed a panic disorder. If my mouth or throat dries out or if I get too hot, it gives me some pretty wicked attacks. My kids and husband got this for me and an insulated drink thing and I just have this amazing ice with me all the time. I use filtered water either from my Berkey or Brita filter and the Opal turns it into the best ice EVER! It's durable enough that room temp liquid doesn't melt it away, but delicate enough that I can crunch it even without my dentures in. If you follow the cleaning instructions, the ice is clean, beautiful and tastes better than Sonic or Zaxby's nugget ice. And the Machine itself.. so beautiful! It's one of the most attractive things in my kitchen and keep in mind, I wanted this one for performance and product, not appearance. Most of the rest of the stuff in my kitchen was picked for appearance and the Opal os still prettier! You can also use it as a night light and when you have the light on, it's even prettier! Once again...I LOVE MY OPAL!

We love our new ice maker. It's key to have the side reservoir, so you don't have to refill as often. My two hiccups for it would be the price, it's very expensive, and the it doesn't have a holder for the scoop. We just have it sit on top of the machine. It would be nice if it had a slot on the side to slip it into.

This may be the best purcahse of the year for me. The fit, quality of the build and the finish of this ice maker is 5 STAR. The machine is very easy to maintain and the ice is addicting. All of our guests over the holidays raved about the Crunchy Ice. Stop researching and make the purchase.

Makes ice quick. The only downside is the noise and it makes, it’s louder when it’s first starting up for the first few minutes and quiet down but we had to move it into a pantry area because of the noise level. Or maybe we have a bad unit, don’t have anything to check it against.

Buying an ice maker, you kind of know what you are getting into, so there isn't a lot to weigh in on as long as it makes ice. A couple things I do enjoy about this particular ice maker, confirming that the right choice was made: It connects to wifi and you can turn it on/start making ice from the App; it makes ice relatively quickly, so even as you are using the ice, it replenishes quickly enough that we didnt find ourselves waiting for more ice to come out; the biggest surprise was how much ice it made using the water inside and the side tank. I was expecting to have to refill after several uses, and the tank was only about half way depleted. This was one area that was much better than I expected.

So far all is going well and we love the ice that this machine makes. We have had to clean it twice at the machines request, which was like cleaning a coffee maker... not much of an issue. We hope that this ice machine keeps on working... now that we have it... can't live without it. Fresh, nicely sized, and "chewable ice" for cocktails is quite enjoyable.

Probably the most bougie thing we ever bought but we love it. It really is the good ice and makes drinks taste so much better. Even bought some red plastic restaurant cups to go with it. Only complaint so far is that after using it for only about two weeks, once in a while it makes a loud ‘groaning’ sound that we haven’t figured out yet and have to unplug it. ‘Groaning’ sound is not addressed in any of the paperwork or online forums. Sound did go away though after doing a cleaning cycle so maybe that. It does take up some space though. But it puts out ice really quickly. All in all a good purchase. Very happy.

We have it at our lake house. I love the WiFi feature. I can turn it on a few hours before we arrive and will have a full bin of ice waiting for us. We have 12 adults and 7 kids. It keeps up with us for the most part. Even when we do deplete most of the ice, it refills pretty quickly.

I purchased the nugget I’ve maker back in November and have truly enjoyed having it. Although it’s a bit of an investment it’s so worth it. It consistently makes ice and the ice does not freeze into one big chunk. The nuggets are easy to chew and cool down my drinks nicely.
