My original opal only lasted 2 years even though I took meticulous care. The pump gave out. I only wish it was easier and cost evlffective to repair them.....I hope this one does better! First impressions are great. More intuitive, great ice, and more aesthetically pleasing.

Best buy ever. Great for my iced coffee's. Makes the best ice and the pups love it too. Easy to use and clean, set up was easy also. Love the app feature where you can turn it off and on from your phone. Tells you when it needs cleaned and when more water is needed. Very happy with my purchase

Great capacity in the ice bin and the side storage tank is a must. Overall Size of the unit is also pretty ok it doesn't take up an excessive amount of space ..but and the big one here is the machine is a never ending fight against scale even when using the replaceable filter in the main tank and filtered water from our fridge 100% of the time. We run the suggested descale procedure regularly but its still impacted. Other issue is when the unit is making ice is squeaks every time before it drops the ice nuggets into the bin. No idea what caused that but it will really wake you up if it starts making ice at night. So overall not a bad machine just fiddly and loud at times

Love the ice & easy to use. However it does make really loud squeaky sounds when the components become too frozen. The machine does sense this and kicks itself into defrost mode, but sometimes it takes a while before it actually switches over to defrost making the sound very unpleasant. For a premium price, I expect more from this product. Glad I bought it for a much more price.

I could not be happier with my purchase. I love this kind of ice and now I get to have it at home. My daughter and I are constantly just getting cups of ice. Much healthier mindless eating than any food. I don't normally do reviews and absolutely would buy this ice machine again. I just wish I would have bought it sooner.

This was the perfect gift for my wife, who spends time and money constantly going to Sonic and chik-fil-a just to get a cup of ice. So far so good, only complaint is the SmartHQ app will not let me set up a schedule. Keeps saying "something went wrong ".

Bought this for my wife’s birthday and it instantly became everyone’s favorite countertop appliance. We love that it hardly takes any time at all before “the good ice” is ready to be enjoyed! The only two downsides for me are that it’s a little bulky with the side reservoir attached and even with the side reservoir we’re still refilling it more often than we had hoped (about once every 2 days for 2 adults and 1 child). With that being said, the bulky size was somewhat expected and refilling it often only speaks to how much we love the great taste of this ice. I don’t think it’s necessarily a reflection of the capacity of the ice bin or the water reservoirs. Overall, this is a perfect addition to our kitchen and we absolutely love it!

My wife has stopped going to Chic-fil-A to by bags of pellet ice. This ice maker is the bomb. A little pricy, but it works great, and what the heck, it’s just fun. Wish it made ice a little faster, but the process for making this chewable ice takes time. Would definitely recommend this product.

This was a replacement ice maker because the new on I bought was making a squeaking noise as soon as I plugged it in to make ice the replacement they sent me started making a knocking sound as so as I plugged it in then stopped making ice after one day

I really love my ice machine. This is my fourth one. I clean it faithfully and make sure to use distilled water. Unfortunately, they don’t last long. I just got my 4th one and I got it because my other one died in less than a yr and it was under warranty. The other one before that one lasted about four yrs. You have to clean it religiously. If you’re lazy then forget it. This is not for you. It’s just like any equipment. You have to take care of it.
