I bought this about a month ago because I was tired of buying bags of ice from the grocery store. I wasn't sure how good this icemaker really would be, but I am pleasantly surprised! It has surpassed my expectations, and I highly recommend this! The small nugget ice is wonderful. And this machine is a little workhorse! I use it daily and absolutely love it.

I bought the opal ice maker as a Christmas gift for my wife who saw it at a friends house, she is absolutely in love and so am I! The ice is amazing,fast,and.CRUNCHY easy cleaning function for best tasting ice and the extra water reservoir Jim’s a nice addition for getting the most out of it!

We've been using this machine for a few weeks now and are very pleased. It constantly makes ice and even when we use what's in the bin we have new ice in no time. I wasn't able to connect to the wifi, but it's no big deal. Definitely recommend this product

Never have I purchased an appliance or tool whose set up and initial operation went so flawlessly. Having researched this unit and watched several independent YouTube videos, I was confident in my purchase but was pleasantly surprised at the well instructed set up and prompt creation of ice nuggets within 15 minutes of commencement. Needless to say, this unit appears to be worth the premium price paid. You get what you pay for and I look forward to a long use of this ice maker!

This ice machine was great for just under a year. Now I have had it for just over 2 years. It is very noisy at times, wake you up from deep sleep noisy. Requires a lot of care and cleaning to keep it working properly. Manual says Descale every 2-3 weeks, Sanitize once a week. I am doing both once a week. This is at least 4 hours of labor plus the 18 hour soak time.

Loved it at the beginning, lasted less than 2 years. I would have expected at least 5 years for the cost this unit. I followed all the instructions and recommended maintenance and only used distilled water. The machine still looked brand new and we probably would see 2-3 gallons of water a week making ice. It started to slow down and eventually ran hot and the water pump seemed to start working incrementally so the machine would only make about 2 cups of ice a day.

So far I am enjoying said product. GE is the epitome of American innovation. The Opal Nugget 2.0 ice maker product supported my little get together with ice to spare. I am happy because the wife is happy. Ice cold cocktails shaken and stirred. God Bless GE, God Bless America 🇺🇸!

We loved it at first but then after multiple cleaning cycles after setting it up and then making a first batch of ice, we all tasted the ice and I noticed something in my mouth. Removed object and it was a metal shaving! I then stopped everyone from consuming the ice and then allowed the icemaker to finish making a complete batch of ice overnight. In the morning I dumped all of the ice and the side water reservoir. I went to empty the internal reservoir and notice 2 more metal shavings floating in the bottom! I have include a picture showing the 2. We were so excited for this appliance

Works great! At this price point it makes really "Good Ice". It isn't exactly like the drive-in's pellet ice, but close. I like the timer for daily start/stop and the side fill attachment makes it easier to add water as needed. It is a large appliance so I put it in my pantry.

The icemaker works well it does exactly what it supposed to do. I would have been happy except when I took the icemaker out of the box there was a scratch and dent on one side of it and another dent on the other side. Quality team should have caught these before they was ever packed up. These appliances cost too much to come as a scratch and dent model.
